My self-summary
Well, my name is Alex. Currently I am seeing the country from behind the wheel of a 40 ton, 70 foot long truck. I'm not all too sure what to put down here. I enjoy a multitude of things, such as reading, road trips, gaming (video and tabletop), fishing, cooking, hiking on nature trails, wood carving, and more. Right now I'm looking mostly for people to chat with, and see if it becomes something more. Due to my current career I don't have an opportunity to be in Chicago often but after I pay my dues I shall be returning home for a local route. If you'd like to know more, or are just looking for a conversation I am always willing to have one, provided I'm not driving.
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently an OTR driver and that takes up most of my time for now but I hope to find something local and live in Illinois.
I’m really good at
Being random when you need a smile, being comforting when you need a shoulder, I'm also a pretty decent cook (Or so I've been told) I love to listen if it helps people feel better. I know just being able to rant to someone can help.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well, if it's winter the first thing people usually notice is that I'm still in a T-shirt and shorts even in single digit weather, I just don't get cold. Also if its October, my pink hair, which I dye in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness. People generally notice my headbanging. (Love my Metal)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Well, my favorite books are impossible to pick out. However, I love everything by 3 authors, well excluding a title from one of them. J.R.R Tolkien (Not just Third age but all of his works.) John Grisham (A time to kill is probably one of my favorite books of all time.) And Stephen King (The girl who loved Tom Gordon is the only book of his I don't like).

When it comes to movies, Sci-fi pretty much trumps it, horror movies are good as well, especially B-Rated horror flicks. I love the cheesy terrible acting in them, always cracks me up. I do also like fantasy movies/action/comedy. I'll watch anything once, won't promise I'll like it, but I'll at least give it a shot.

Shows, I'm not the biggest TV watcher. I like One Piece , Bleach, Gintama, Invader Zim, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, The Walking Dead, Chowder, Courage the cowardly dog, Ren and Stimpy, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, and Star Trek. I don't havs the opportunity to watch much television these days anymore.

Music, I'd have to say without a doubt Metal.Classic rock and Metal. Of course I like a few songs/bands that don't exactly fit into those categories but that is pretty much my music. Just like with movies I'll give anything a chance, but I just don't like other kinds of music. I don't disrespect them because everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I respect everyone's musical choice just as I ask for mine to be respected.

Food, anything and everything to be honest. I love to cook so I love to taste what I make. My favorite things to prepare are pastas and stews. I also like messing around with different foods to try new concoctions.
Six things I could never do without
Great friends and family
My beautiful pets
Big trucks
My Imagination
Past experiences
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The shaping of the cosmos and always trying to think up new things to carve, also thinking about new tabletop game ideas
On a typical Friday night I am
In the sleeper berth of my truck at some truck stop trying not to yell at the wifi god as I watch netflix or anime.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
There are a few songs out there that I love for some reason that are not Metal.
You should message me if
You think I'm slightly interesting, or if you'd like to chat. I'm a friendly person and I don't believe in ignoring people so if you wanna talk just shoot me a message and I'll respond.
