My self-summary
Software engineer, quad skater, roller derby enthusiast, bicyclist, trivia master, writer, gamer, coder, professional geek. All of those things, but more than that by far. I love gamer girls, but anyone that has a open and inquisitive mind, a good imagination, and an ability to have fun doing whatever, is still great to me.

After dabbling for a long while, I'm really getting into Law of Attraction and other self-improvement subjects. I am attracting good and positive things and people into my life, so if you're a positive person (ESPECIALLY if you're also on a path of self-discovery) I'd love to meet you and share thoughts.
What I’m doing with my life
I just recently completed a master's degree program in software engineering and software architecture, with a focus on mobile development for IOS and Android. I've worked in the tech field since I was a teenager, but I'm changing course from hardware and support to programming.

I've been traveling all over Florida and Georgia doing roller derby events, but the season is winding down now so I'll have a lot more time on my hands for social and recreational activities.

Now that I'm done with graduate school I have a big list of things I've said 'I'll do that when I finish school', so I need to work on those for a while! I definitely want to get back into writing for fun, and maybe finally getting around to learning how to play the guitar. I'm also VERY down for simple stuff like going to movies and plays, and maybe finding concerts.
I’m really good at
Paying attention when others speak. Being funny and outgoing. I enjoy writing fiction, but I'm not sure how good I am at that. Playing board, card, and video games.
The first things people usually notice about me
You can tell me on our first date...:)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a big fan of live theater, and I'm grateful there's lots of places around here to go see good shows. I am trying to do more in theater myself, but so far I've been happy working behind the scenes occasionally.

I love sci-fi and fantasy books, especially Robert Jordan and Stephen King.

I like lots of types of movies, and one of my favorite recent films is Cabin in the Woods. I've been watching a lot of TV shows and movies related to AI and android/robots, like The Machine, Eva, the TV show Humans, Chappie, Age of Ultron, the really bad Transcendence, and the absolutely brilliant Ex Machina. I always catch comic book movies, although I was never a comic book geek. Go figure.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but I tend towards stuff like Dr. Who and Firefly. I do have subscriptions to Amazon Instant Video and Netflix so I can watch some of the older stuff. I love Blacklist and I'm bummed that Under the Dome got canceled. I also have been recording Humans, The Last Ship, and The Strain.

My favorite band all time is No Doubt, but I like lots of mainstream and indie type rock and pop. My iPod playlist right now has Adele, Matisyahu, the Lumineers, and Elle Goulding among others.

I like most foods, especially Chinese and Thai. I'll eat most any seafood, and I can get into spicy chicken dishes. Some hot wings at Houligan's are a big favorite.
Six things I could never do without
1.) Friends and family.
2.) The big outdoors, and my bicycle.
3.) Music and books.
4.) Love.
5.) Fun.
6.) My computer(s) for school.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Now that I've finished my degree, I'm thinking a lot about career mode type stuff and where and what I want to be doing. There's a lot of options for a software architect, and I'm working contract jobs while I'm thinking about what I want to focus on. It's 90 percent likely I'll be doing mobile development for IOS and Android, and hopefully I'll have the freedom to live wherever I want.

I know I want to move, because Palm Coast isn't exactly a hive of activity and jobs, and commutes kinda suck. I will probably live in Florida, but I'm not going to stay here.
On a typical Friday night I am
I like hitting a movie with friends, or a live stage play. I'm also very much comfortable with just doing Netflix, pizza, and cuddles.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
We can talk about that later.
You should message me if
You're looking for a somewhat geeky, but well rounded, guy who can appreciate the good things in life.
