My self-summary
I am grateful for the suns rays on winter days, warm blankets and whiskey. When I'm not attempting to fashion the perfect old fashioned, I avoid reading the news these days by laying on the floor during yoga, netflix bingeing, and looking at pictures of my niece. I love Indiana basketball; Bobby Knight has his own place in our family lore despite being an awful human being.

Grew up in the Midwest, filled my passport overseas, am enthralled by the vastness of our own US geography, and have spent my adult life on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor: inside the DC beltway, 4 years in Brooklyn, and now Boston - with a year in Israel thrown in. As a result, I often refer to soda as pop, occasionally say ya'll and drive like a really nice Masshole.

I brush my teeth in the shower... best part of my day!
Sweet and irreverent...
Honest and sensitive...
Driven and lazy...
Sometimes I like to sleep until noon.
What I’m doing with my life
My professional life involves helping a bunch of boston jews figure out how to find life's meaning all the while managing a lot of Jewish guilt smothered in lox on a lightly toasted gluten-free everything bagel.

Otherwise, I'm winning cards against humanity, and enjoying the impact those amazingly large ice cubes meant to keep whiskey cold - can have on cold brew.
I’m really good at
hearing you & being present
right joke at the right time
asking hard questions
helping people
writing grants
editing other people's writing
The first things people usually notice about me
my warmth
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Love to read short stories and essays - huge fan of Philip Roth, Kundera, Bernard Malamud, Vonnegut, and Dave Eggers. I take great pleasure in the contents of my book shelves.

Always craving sunnyside up eggs, Israeli salad, mint lemonade, and whiskey.

Lover of music - folk, singer/songwriter, broadway, and all of the music I downloaded illegally freshman year of college. I have a surprisingly large repertoire of Christmas music and kiddie music.

I'm of a rare breed who cannot quote movies word for word...much less remember their titles, but have an uncanny ability to remember people and important facts about them. Wouldn't trade that skill for anything.
