My self-summary
Amateur photographer, professional nerd.
I like to describe myself as a mixture of Ron Swanson and Andy Dwyer; a classical soul that takes pride in the sweat of his own brow while looking at the world with a modern, positive sort of wonder.

Also I enjoy whiskey and silly humor, that probably factors into it.

Myers Briggs: ENFP.
What I’m doing with my life
Recently moved to Arlington to be closer to work and all the fun, best decision I've made in a long time.

In my day to day I work as a Senior Consultant for a Software Development company.

I just joined a soccer league where I play as a defensive centerback, midfielder, or attacking forward, and when necessary goalkeeper. It's a casual league and I'm a Jack of all trades!

According to my roommate I'll be playing league ice hockey soon, even though I can't skate very well. I can get moving just fine but I swear someone tampered with my brakes.

Recently I picked up a DSLR camera and am trying to teach myself the intricacies of photography as a hobby. It's relaxing, a ton of fun, and makes me feel just a little bit more like Peter Parker.
I’m really good at
Making French Pressed coffee or stove top espresso. In a world of Keurig, my coffee presses and I stand in defiance of weak coffee!

Puns and corny jokes, my username being one I am particularly proud of.

I'm extremely good at not knowing what face to make when taking a selfie.

I'm pretty darn good at impressions, quite proud of my Christopher Walken.
The first things people usually notice about me
As far as personality, they notice I'm warm, confident, and the funniest person on earth. Okay that last one was a bit of an exaggeration,I'm only the funniest on the western hemisphere.

Physically speaking it's my beard or that I look like I play rugby, but I've also gotten a lot of compliments on my butt, which is nice! (Squats work!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
"The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
-The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams. The entire Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series of books are easily my favorite to read.

My taste in movies ranges from the stupid funny of Dumb and Dumber to the mind bending story line of The Prestige. Both are an example of my favorite movies.

I am genuinely bad at watching television. I can't get myself to sit through a TV show and am always left out of the water cooler conversations about "did you see the last episode of _____??" I am, however, really good at binging a show if I'm doing it with somebody

I listen to almost any genre of music but I get into swings where I listen to a specific genre almost exclusively.

I love food. Cooking it, eating it, discovering new recipes, all of it. I learned a lot about cooking form my mom, as well as experimenting with whatever ingredients I could get my hands on while I was in college. I also firmly believe that slow cookers are magic.
The six things I could never do without
My family and friends (my friends are my family, so that counts as one!)

Fitness in one form or another; weightlifting, playing sports, cycling to name a few.

Music is a constant for me. If I'm not actively listening to music then I'm humming or drumming on my desk.

Sunshine. I'm figuratively solar powered.

Determination, I'm filled with it and it's how I've gotten to be where I am today.

Though it may be utterly cliche, the Internet.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All of the awesome things coming up on the horizon. There's a lot to be excited about and I'm a tad giddy with anticipation.

Simultaneously how reliant we are on technology as a species, and how much battery my phone has left.

All the different places I'd like to travel to, and how to make that happen. Where should I go next?
On a typical Friday night I am
I enjoy going out, especially to a bar like The Saloon on U Street where you can sit, enjoy a good drink, and actually have a conversation.

The best nights involve board games, friends, and a few drinks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Some of the worst injuries I've incurred are from the silliest things, like dislocating my knee at Prom or getting a concussion at Homecoming in High School. What can I say? I'm an enthusiastic dancer.
You should message me if
You enjoy deep conversations, witty puns, and corny humor.

You're looking for a gym, bike, travel, sports partner.

If you can suggest some music to add to my Spotify playlist.
