My self-summary
I've achieved the dreams of my past, now I'm working on the dreams of my present!

I'm a renaissance man enjoying life in "The Future". I'm an artist, a dreamer and a romantic. I'm a monotheist forever in love with the giver of all the amazing gifts we've been given of life, the earth, and all that they contain. But I also believe there is so much more than meets the eye, and most of it will remain a mystery, and I'm okay with that. I suspect what we're meant to do here wouldn't work if we knew too much. And too many really smart people become really selfish people.

Life is a great adventure! I live, I trust, I laugh, and I faith!

What I’m doing with my life
I moved out to Cali from the east coast a decade ago in pursuit of my art. I am now an accomplished special fx artist for the motion picture industry. NOT c.g.i.- I make real things that exist in the real world- props, costumes, prosthetic make-ups, sculptures, molds and castings.

Independently, I like making sterling silver jewelry, sculpture, drawings/sketches, and the occasional more ambitious invention. Inspiration and calling come in spurts, and are trapped in time, so I find it difficult to plan what's next. But I make plans where I am able. And lately I've been teaching myself to yield. Cause we gotta be loose, quick on our feet, roll with the punches! While there is soooooo much we can create and change and contribute to, time is limited, and yielding often yields happy results.
I’m really good at
Working with my hands~ Carving, sculpting, building, fabricating, mold making, casting, shaping, and the taking touch.

Explaining things
Encouraging people
Making them laugh
Finding patterns
Active Listening
Getting along swimmingly with cats
The first things people usually notice about me
My calm nature, my eyes
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love movies, Just a few favorites~ Step Brothers, Idiocracy, Legend, The Last Samurai, Anchorman, Black Swan, Liar Liar, Lord of the Rings, Synecdoche New York, Envy, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Law Abiding Citizen, The Other Boleyn Girl, Kill Bill, Apocalypto (made some molds for a few of the animals), Pretty Persuasion, Perfume, Secretary... I could really go on for hours... better off just perusing my collection. My favorites are comedy and horror.
(If you know what movie my username is from, brownie points!)

Loooove books! Some favorite authors~ C.S. Lewis, Anne Rice, J.K. Rowling, Clive Barker, Robert R. McCammon, Eckhart Tolle, Ravi Zacharias, Dean Koontz, Steven King, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Moses, David, Solomon, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul.

I don't watch T.V. as I think it warps my ambitions, or at least the commercials do. I think I'm still trying to shake its influence from my childhood. But some shows I love streaming through Netflix~ The Office (BBC+US), Stella, Breaking Bad, Parks and Rec, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock, Modern Marvels, Mythbusters, The Walking Dead (I made some corpses, organs, and various body parts for season 3 :))

I LOOOVE South Park, but I just buy the seasons on DVD.
If you agree that South Park is one of the most insightful satirical commentaries on the human condition and American society, definitely message me!

Music~ Explosions in the Sky, Pink Floyd, Cee Lo Green, Alice in Chains, Primus, B.R.M.C., Alison Kraus, Depeche Mode, Jars of Clay, Portishead, Ani Difranco, The Verve, Florence and the Machine, Fat Freddy's Drop, Journey, etc.

Food~ Japanese, Indian, Italian, Thai
The six things I could never do without
Friends, Jesus, laughter, prayer, movies, books.

And music, and tools, and automobiles, and inspiration, and streaming Netflix, and mint chocolate chip ice cream.

But... I could get along just fine with nothing but the first four.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future usually first, then pulling it back to the present- this is the real gift!

Things to make.

Prayers and apologetics.

And what's inside mountains... they're just so darn MASSIVE!!!
On a typical Friday night I am
I do enjoy social outings, but I'm much more of a home-body. But when the opportunities arise- With great company -Out for live music- Art gallery shows or art walks- Movie theaters or home theaters, etc.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a tree-hugger... but for some reason doing it in front of people feels inappropriate. Not to me of course! Trees are just so darn serious!

I'm totally Christian, but edgy... I love horror movies, comedies the more ridiculous or raunchy the better, I like dark and spooky art and imagery; my sense of humor often involves sarcasm, self-deprecation, exaggerated stupidity, potty humor, deviant sexuality; you know- typical boy stuff. I just like making people laugh, as well as myself, I go with what works, and I don't over-think it (although admittedly sometimes I should :/) But I always apologize when necessary :) :) My smile usually prevents offenses.
You should message me if
You respect yourself, but don't take yourself, or life too seriously.

You like art and you would like to enjoy some creative and cultured activities together.

If your dating goals are long-term, You must be a fellow Christian. I'm not closed-minded, I just know who I am. Jesus Christ is my core, and if we don't share our faith in Him, everything else will be superficial. I know this from experience.

BUT, I am still always very open to making new friends :)
