My self-summary
I consider myself an unusual amalgamation of personality types. First and foremost I'm a nerdy engineer. I'm analytical, even-tempered and intellectual. I've also worked in the construction industry my entire adult life and consider myself very pragmatic and straight to the point.

In real life I'm pretty lighthearted and funny, but also enjoy delving into deep conversations about politics, history, science, religion, etc.

Someone once said I was like a cross between Dr. House and Tim the Tool Man Taylor. I think that's pretty accurate.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an electrical engineer, but at my work I do more management than technical stuff. I'm a construction superintendent, which means I manage construction sites, specifically electronic security projects at educational institutions. I've been at my company for awhile (since I was 21) and have worked my way up there.

Right now I travel quite a bit for work (especially in the summers), but at the end of this year (2017) I should be moving to a different position which involves less travel.

Its pretty likely that I'll move to Kansas City (Kansas side) at some point, since that's where my company's corporate headquarters is. They won't force me to move there, but its a smart move if I want to keep climbing the corporate ladder.

I bought a fixer-upper house in Richardson that I'm about 70% through fixing up. I plan on fixing up a few more houses to save up money/equity to buy a nice house with 3+ acres of land in Kansas. I think I would be happiest living more in the country rather than in the suburbs. That's my plan anyway, who knows what life will throw at you.
I’m really good at
I like cars/trucks/motorcycles/boats/etc. I'm a pretty good mechanic and enjoy working on stuff that goes vroom vroom. I can fix your car so that you don't have to go to an auto repair shop where they rip you off.

I also build a lot of stuff, all sorts of stuff. Woodworking, electronics, house rennovations/upgrades, etc. I can build you cool furniture and stuff.

I'm also an electrical engineer, so I tinker with electronics a lot. I've done quite a few arduino projects.
The first things people usually notice about me
I honestly don't really know. I feel like most anything I would put here would make me sound pompous.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I only read boring non-fiction books about religion, evolution, astrophysics, quantum physics, and other similar subjects.

I'm not really into fiction, and a lot of people find that very strange about me. I'm not heartless, or lacking of imagination or anything, but reading fictional stories is just not very interesting to me. I very much enjoy reading true stories, especially fascinating ones. I'm also a news and history junkie.

I'm not very picky with music. I'll listen to most of it, but don't really care for most country or rap music. I listen to Classic Rock more often than not.

I don't watch TV, and I don't watch any shows regularly. I don't have Netflix or anything like that. I watch a lot of documentaries and politics/news online. I've never watched Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, or Breaking Bad, and I probably never will. I do like watching most movies though, mostly ones about historical events or well made action/sci-fi.

I'm the opposite of a picky eater. There are some foods I don't care for, but I'll eat almost anything. My favorite is tex-mex.
Six things I could never do without
Internal combustion engines
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Stuff I can build.
On a typical Friday night I am
I prefer nerdy house parties to bars, but I'm flexible.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes I rock out to terrible pop music.
