My self-summary
My name rhymes with 7 & 11 and starts with a K!

I like to think I am a pretty swell chap but then again I may be slightly biased. I asked my friends for some words that describe me and they came up with quirky, knowledgeable, whimsical, handy, and adventurous (results may vary).

Some people can sleep in all-day on the weekends and feel great. Through trial and error I have discovered I am not that person. I always need to be striving for a goal or building towards an end product. I thrive in the ascent, not the peak or valley.

Growing up I assumed everyone knew how to change their oil and check the fuses when an electrical item stopped working in their car. Turns out not everyone had an electrician for a father and a pipefitter for a mother :P
What I’m doing with my life
During the day I am rockin' it as a back-end software developer. I work 35-40 hours a week which leaves plenty of time for other ventures.

Currently, I'm putting the finishing touches on a tiny house I built so I can list it on Airbnb. I'm also working on building a small boat so I can learn to sail and explore the ghost town of Drawbridge (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drawbridge,_California).
I’m really good at
Fixing, building, planning, designing, and working with my hands in general. Assembling Ikea furniture is pretty much my bread and butter.
The first things people usually notice about me
I make very animated hand gestures and noises when re-enacting stories or scenarios.

I look much younger than I actually am. Once the attendant on Caltrain asked how old I was to see if I qualified for the discounted rate (17 and under).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read a mix of non-fiction and fantasy/science fiction. Neil Gaiman is wonderful along with Richard K Morgan, Brandon Sanderson, and Elizabeth Moon.

I LOVE films, Stardust, Count of Monte Cristo, Amélie, Princess Mononoke, and Chronicles of Riddick are just a few of my favorites. House of Cards and No Reservations are solid contenders for TV.

I am not particular on any genre of music but if I had to list a band the Seatbelts from Cowboy Bebop would be near the crest.

As for food I enjoy dinning at new places as much as I can. Sushi and Phở would be my top picks if forced to choose.
The six things I could never do without
Vitamin B12
Hand Written Letters
A Soprano Saxophone
A Cozy Bed
People who make me laugh
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I should work for money and then find joy or work for joy and then find money.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I may or may not have spelled my middle name wrong on my college application, which means every document thereafter has spelled it incorrectly.
You should message me if
You find yourself laughing more often than not.

At the moment, I'm looking for someone to partake in activities/projects/adventures with. Ideally it will organically grow into a long-term relationship but even if it doesn't, I'm always looking for new friends :)
