And let kindness be your guide.
Planning my next vacation to anywhere with topaz waters and azure skies.
Work is a small part of my life but my passion is being a scuba diver. Why is this important? I look for places I have never been to, where there is no internet or mobile service, and make new friends for life. When you are with me, you will understand why I go look for sharks and why I want you to share the exhilaration of seeing them If we are lucky we will see new animals that we have never seen before, or behaviors that makes you go wow! When you are diving with me, your memories will be about the time a 15 foot manta ray swims next to you while they are feeding, or the sea lion came to play while you are looking for lobsters in the kelp forest. When we are not in the sea, we will be looking at the sea for hours without having to say a word.
But alas, the ocean is far away. Land bound, I mow my lawn, go to work, and rescue pigeon (ok, one pigeon). I ride my bike so I can eat that pork belly sandwich but the solitude of grinding the gears is good too. I took over my daughter's Xbox so I can do Yoga (yes, there is an app for that). I also enjoy exchanging new discoveries with good friends over food or coffee.
Empathizing; listening skill is main part of my job.
Sitting down with children to explain very difficult concepts; I love the aha! & eureka! moments.
My super power is to freeze time; I use my photography and video skills to share with other parents.
There are too many books, and too little time.
I am loving Cosmos and Your Inner Fish. I like almost all NOVA and Frontline shows. For comedy, I like The Big Bang Theory, the Daily Show and Colbert Report. I like Downton Abbey for its brilliant writing.
Chinese food, but since I am Chinese, I just call it food. I like Thai, Viet, Indian, and Japanese. There are no Malaysian restaurants, so I bring home about 5 pounds of it around my waist when I return to Dallas.
Joy from within.
