My self-summary
Quick-run down:
Born and raised in Pittsburgh
Got my undergrad degrees at Pitt
Worked at the Pittsburgh Zoo as well as the San Diego Zoo when I lived in San Diego for about 2 years
Now I have a PhD in ecology and evolution and I'm teaching human anatomy and physiology as well as vertebrate anatomy at UPJ.

Things about me:
-I used to be an actual professional video game player when I was in high school (don't worry, I barely play any these days)
-I am an avid snowboarder, soccer player, swimmer, and triathlete
-I don't get mad and don't do well with people that are perpetually angry
-I'm a nerd but you wouldn't know it without really getting to know me
-I am slightly addicted to tattoos
-I love a good IPA. Scratch that, I love most craft beers.
-I am fast. To give you a reference point I am somewhere between a snake and a mongoose…and a panther (bonus points if you know where this is from)
-I've never had a salad or coffee
-I won a total of 6 (yes 6... jealous?) baseball trophies as a kid.
-I'm addicted to going to museums and learning as much as I can with the time I'm given on this planet
-I know way more about Star Wars than anyone else I know. If you can show me up in Star Wars trivia we might as well just get married now

The six things I could never do without
A differential in air pressure between my lungs and the air around me
Brain activity

Yeah I ran out of things to put down pretty quickly. As it turns out, I can live without most things
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meaning of life, whether or not ghosts exist, what I'm doing with my life, whether or not any of us truly have free will, why the Steelers feel the need to assert themselves as a run-oriented team when clearly their best assets are their passing options, why people think scientists are boring, how many Earth-like exoplanets are out there, whether it is better to be all theory and no action or all action and no theory, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'll give you a few options. All are equally likely.

At home relaxing from a long week and watching a movie / Netflix
At a bar enjoying some good craft beers with friends
Maybe doing karaoke if I am with other fellow people who don't mind looking stupid (I can do a mean Julian Casablancas from The Strokes)
Out on a long hike
At a concert/show somewhere
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In gym class when I was a kid we played crab soccer and I intentionally kicked the classroom bully in the head. I scuttled away and he never found me.

In third grade, I got into trouble because I brought a condom to school. I thought it was a moist towelette.
You should message me if
You are intelligent
You are active/outdoorsy
You are fun and spontaneous
You are environmentally conscious
You like craft beer
You like traveling/trying new things
You like animals
You like science
You can actually carry on a full conversation both via text and in real life
You would vaccinate your current or future children against harmful and avoidable diseases
Your profile takes more than 10 seconds to read (why even make one at that point?)
You would hop on a plane or into a car without planning ahead and just go somewhere randomly.
You want to go beer hunting!

My biggest gripe about being on this site is that most women say something akin to 'don't message me with one word/line responses' but then you write nothing of substance for people to comment on.

That being said, I don't normally message many women on here. I have friends on here and I know how inundated women get with hundreds of messages a week from skeevy dudes trying to get laid. I could not care less about that. I personally don't mind being single. If something happens, great - if not, meh, who cares ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
