My self-summary
I am looking to date in earnest and settle down/marry. I'm looking for a fellow traveler with whom I can voyage literally and intellectually. I'm looking for someone who sees the world differently and has a spark of madness :).

I also hate facial hair even though I dislike shaving almost equally.

I'm a polar bear at heart.

I run a group called "Fearless Voyagers", for people interested in traveling to places like Iran, North Korea, and Bhutan.
I'm looking for someone who's a good conversationalist, and who is passionate enough about something - anything - that they'd be willing to teach me (hobbies, careers, etc.).

My Oscar Meyers-Briggs personality type is IDKLMNOP.

Sometimes, I like to go on Expedia or Travelocity just for planning an imaginary vacation. I love looking at the wikitravel site.

I'm looking for somebody who's curious about the world. **Being able to carry on a conversation is an absolute must.**

I am a classically trained singer, a bass-baritone. Mahler makes me tear up, and I have a soft spot for Ralph Vaughan Williams. I revere Shostakovich.

What I’m doing with my life
I finished my M.Ed. Teaching is such a joy for me. It's the greatest form of performing. While it's not always fun and games at the time, my teaching memories inevitably become fun and games in retrospect. I'm also working for Exact Sciences as a data manager.
I’m really good at
I used to be good at Sudoku, but I'm pretty rusty.
The first things people usually notice about me
My voice and my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Redwall series, Hitchhiker's Guide series, George Carlin's compilations, biographies, histories, anything to do with the commercial aviation industry, books about geography or international relations. I just finished reading a beautiful memoir called "Confessions," written by a survivor of the cultural revolution who now teaches at Yale.

Movies: if you can convince me to watch it, I'll watch it. That's usually not a hard task to accomplish.

Music: Anything I can ski to. Otherwise, anything that evokes thoughts of space travel.
Six things I could never do without
Cheeseless pizza
My ability to see
I spend a lot of time thinking about
funny things, airplanes, and polar bears
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing whatever inspires me on a Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If we're out and about and an airplane happens to fly overhead, I have no problem pausing the conversation to watch it until it's out of sight.
You should message me if
You want to take the train with me to random places.

You're creative. This is crucial.

You know how to pronounce "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch" and you would like to visit it with me some day.

You would like to do so for any reason, or if you enjoy shouting "Oh my god! The Beach Boys, I love the Beach Boys!" when a Beatles song comes on.
The two of us
