My self-summary
I love the dickens outta some improv, as well as a good beer. I'm generally very outgoing and friendly. I'm a great listener and would consider myself very accepting and open. I am not good at playing the Little Woman role; I don't really cook and I'm very direct.

I appear to have lucked into having an insanely wonderful and talented group of friends, so I'm most likely hanging out with some of them most nights out of the week; likely checking out an improv show or grabbing a beer somewhere.

A few other things:
-I love cars. Top Gear is probably my favorite show.
-I love to travel. I've taken 2015 off work to do so and also to figure out my next career move.
-I kept a list of all of the new-to-me films I saw in 2014 and graded them. (Totaled 157)
-I have an original NES in working condition.
-I'm pretty obsessed with photography, and have taken it past "hobby," but nowhere near "profession."

Also--I'm not a big gamer, my UN references two awesome scifi books.
What I’m doing with my life
Taking some time off from work to figure out what I'd like to do next. In the meantime... some travel and fun. This year I've been to Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, and Galapagos, Norway, Poland, Germany, The Netherlands, Scotland and Ireland, as well as a bunch of US National Parks. I am very sad I have to return to the real world for a while to make more money so I can do it again. :)

Also, as mentioned above, I love improv. I currently have two groups that I play with around town. Nothing beats the rush I get from being on stage with friends making something magical happen in the moment.
I’m really good at
Solo travel.
Dancing with reckless abandon.
Making people feel good about themselves.
Making people laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
Physically, I'd say my eyes.

Personality-wise, the first thing people notice about me is my sense of humor. I'm not afraid to be silly in front of new people; I'd rather we all just have a good time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything Vonnegut, Bill Bryson, Sloane Crosley, or David Sedaris, The Enders Series, and a random assortment of others. Loved Ready Player One, which is the best new SciFi book I've read in years.
Movies: Recent faves: How to Train Your Dragon 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spy, It Follows, Avengers: Age of Ultron
Old faves: Everything is Illuminated, 28 Days Later, Batman Begins, October Sky, to name a few.
Music: Pretty diverse. Spotify is my favorite thing. Son Lux, Geographer, Adele, Matt Corby. A lot of movie scores (anything Hans Zimmer gets a thumbs up), Sin Fang, JT. The list goes on and is constantly changing.
The six things I could never do without
1) Music
2) Animals
3) Cell phone
4) Family
5) Travel
6) My best friend
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What's next.
On a typical Friday night I am
At an improv show or perhaps a concert, at a bar, or just unwinding back at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When writing To-Do Lists, I often write down things I've already done that morning so that I can feel more accomplished by immediately crossing them off.

You're an intelligent, put-together man who found some common ground in the above.
