My self-summary
I'm pretty happy with myself and my life. I'm just looking for someone special to hang out with, chill with, go on adventures with.
What I’m doing with my life
Living the dream, baby.
Right now I'm working full-time, going to grad school, directing a play, and trying to have a little fun somewhere in there, too. I'm pretty busy, but I make time for the people and things that are important to me.
I’m really good at
Cooking. Especially making people's favorite foods. Give me a challenge...
Creating themed meals for parties, holidays, and favorite TV shows (I made an awesome April Fool's day meal last year, funny spooky Halloween food, and meatballs in vodka sauce for the Jersey Shore premiere)
Being creative. I enjoy having good ideas and then trying to make them a reality. Acting, directing, photography. . .
Procrastinating on the internet, spending way too much time on this site, instead of doing grad school homework.
Starting a dance party wherever I go. Seriously, if there's music playing, I'm dancing.
Making "that's what she said" jokes. Wherever there is an opening, I am going to jump on it (and yes, that is what she said. Or he said. Whatever).
The first things people usually notice about me
How do you all know how to answer this question? Do random people come up to you and say, "oh the first thing I noticed about you was...?"
Maybe you can tell me when you meet me...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love reading almost anything. "Brain candy" mysteries, science fiction, young adult, even. Laura Lippmann, The Girl With, Orson Scott Card, Sue Grafton, Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, Harry Potter ...

Movies that are funny or that make me think. Wedding Crashers, Bridesmaids, Mystery Men, Memento, Ocean's 11, Spiderman, Amelie...

I'm almost never at home to watch TV, but I really enjoy any series that you can follow characters on. HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Leverage, Revenge, and sometimes some reality TV to make me feel better about my life. Any kind of legal show or mystery show is right up my alley--Good Wife, Monk, Psych, and Elementary is a new favorite. Thank goodness for my DVR.

Mostly Top 40, hip hop, and some folksy stuff (I loved Josh Ritter when he was playing in tiny Boston bars and still love him). I enjoy any music that has a beat that I can dance to. Also, I am ready and willing to debate Glee's improvement of every song that they cover.

I'll eat pretty much anything that's vegetarian. Ethnic food, pizza, whatever. I'll even eat in a steakhouse-I love Caesar salad and mashed potatoes.
The six things I could never do without
I feel like everyone writes about their family and friends here or air or water or whatever, and of course I couldn't live without that stuff. But I don't feel like that gives you a lot of information about who I am or what I do like (which is sort of the point, right?) so instead I'll just tell you about some stuff I like a lot.
Chocolate (although salted caramel is slowly competing as a favorite flavor)
A new book to read
Laughing until I gasp for breath
The color purple (not the book, I just really like that color)
Toes in the sand
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All of the things that are on my winter bucket list and whether I can get them all done in the next couple months.
On my list I have: building a snowman, making chocolate cake in a mug (the internet says it can be done, I'm curious), learning to ski or snowboard or winter sport of some kind, having a movie marathon on a snow day, and discovering a new, cool restaurant that I've never been to.
Maybe someone can help me cross some things off?
On a typical Friday night I am
At my house or a friends' house, drinking wine and cooking or ordering takeout. Sometimes we'll go out to a play or a movie, but we'll usually save that for a Saturday night. You might find me in a bar, but it's for the dancing, not the drinking.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like to sleep with a nightlight on. I'm not scared of the boogie monster or anything, but for some reason, that's how I feel most comfortable.
You should message me if
You want to help me cross anything off my bucket list.
You're interested in theatre, photography, or other art forms.
You also sleep with a nightlight on. Or you'd like to protect me from the boogie monster...
You have a little more to say than "hi" or "lol." In fact, if you say lol more than once in a message, I will be sjy (silently judging you).
You want to engage in some witty banter that might result in meeting someone new, who is much cuter and more interesting than this profile might indicate.
Or, if you think we might get along... Or whatever...
