My self-summary
I'm a very fun person, outgoing, and open but I do hold my beliefs very strongly. My passions are writing, my dogs, coffee, and people. If it means I am making a positive difference, odds are I will enjoy the effort working on it. I can watch almost any sport, yet am only skilled enough to play a couple. I like to stay informed and have way too many news apps to notify me. I am deeply concerned about people and will never give up trying to help them. I have a bit of a rough past, but who doesn't? I was lucky to be raised by an old Japanese man so I can get a little philosophical about daily life which can be annoying at times but it is ridiculously important to me that I serve something greater than myself.
What I’m doing with my life
I currently work for a non-profit organization that is in partnership with the Missouri Department of Mental Health advocating for people who have cognitive disabilities. While doing that I am also getting my Master's degree in public affairs and administration through the University of Kansas. And lastly I am writing a series of books because apparently I wasn't busy enough. =)
I’m really good at
Public Speaking
Martial Arts
Drinking Coffee
Training Pokemon
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair. It is tradition to keep it up for tournaments so it is not exactly short. If not that maybe my eyes. I don't know you tell me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite movies are probably action-fantasy and historical fantasy. Lord of the Rings comes to mind as well as Star Wars. But I am huge fan of Lincoln and Memoirs of a Geisha. I also like comedy but prefer watching them at home because it is cheaper.
I'm love with fantasy books with magic and mystical powers.
I am Japanese at heart and raised Japanese so I love Japanese food more than others but I will never forget my American burger and steak.
The six things I could never do without
1. Freedom
2. My Dogs
3. Coffee
4. Pokemon
5. American Flag
6. Sushi
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can prove to people that they are in control of their own destiny. I want to help people realize how powerful they really are. Too often, there are people that believe they cannot achieve anything because of their circumstances and that really makes me sad because people are born free to decide their own destiny and if they put in the effort they really can achieve any dream. I know it sounds very corny but given the circumstance of my life I believe it to be true.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing video games, watching TV, and eating junk food.
But I do like to go out for dinner, but that is not my typical Friday lol
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was a victim of familial abuse, but it will never break me or who I want to be in the future.
You should message me if
you want to chat or maybe go out for coffee.
