My self-summary
christina ricci once told me my dress was pretty, which was the highlight of my life.
i have always wanted to be lisa 'left eye' lopes.
my proudest achievement is an 892 song itunes playlist called "angsty 90s ladies."
dame helen mirren is my role model.
people only like me on twitter when i tweet about british reality tv.
What I’m doing with my life
watching too much television.
selling overpriced clothing to obnoxious people.
looking annoyed.
trying to write & mostly procrastinating.
reading anna karenina & hoping to be done by my 30th birthday.
I’m really good at
telling you the name of that random actor you recognized from that movie/tv show you watched.
working the manson family into any conversation (team leslie van houten).
faking a minnesota accent.
The first things people usually notice about me
"how is that rack of clothing moving by itself?"

when I straightened my hair, I was told that I look like the girls from haim and Amy Adams by separate people on the same day. so apparently changing my hair changes the structure of my face. I am mystique.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
top fives:

music: kyla la grange, the staves, laura stevenson, tina dico, and liz phair. give me all the girls w/ guitars.

movies: drop dead gorgeous, the craft, martyrs (the original french version. not the godawful american remake), jawbreaker, and romy & michele's high school reunion. depressing horror movies & 90s teen comedies.

television: buffy, orphan black, happy endings, being human, and popular. almost anything british and/or supernatural but never "supernatural."

authors: ann patchett, sloane crosley, carrie fisher (RIP), margaret atwood, and shirley jackson. sad girl memoirs and funny essays.

i hate peanut butter and love cookies.
Six things I could never do without
aliya mustafina
lauren cooper from the catherine tate show
movies feat. a strong female lead on netflix
michelle pfeiffer in grease 2
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the bette davis/joan crawford feud.

where is my john wayne?
where is my prairie song?
where is my happy ending?
where have all the cowboys gone?

how big of an asshole i can be in this profile.
On a typical Friday night I am
marathoning television shows
occasionally venturing outside for human interaction
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
i once bought and read tyra banks' YA novel, "modelland." it was a rollercoaster ride of emotion.

honorable mentions go to:
kate bush's "this woman's work" music video makes me cry.
i also cried while watching a danish television show about vampires.
what can i say? art makes me cry.
You should message me if
you take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and there you have the facts of life.
you were a fan of jenny lewis when she was a child actress.
you moved to new york because you wanted to be felicity.
you want to sing girls aloud songs with me.
you watched/loved fleabag and want to talk about it.
vod from "fresh meat" means everything to you.

as alice deejay once said, "talk to me, oooh, talk to me."
