I'm kind of a nerd. I can be a bit of a snob about some things. I mostly need to learn how to be comfortable in my own skin. I want the finer things in life, but also crave roughing it in the outdoors. I'm fueled by adventure and wonder about the world. I think experiences shape a person, so living through unique situations makes for an interesting person.
Really just trying to work on me - career, interests, physical/mental health, fitness...
Don't let the stilettos fool you, doesn't mean I can't trek through the woods or throw down for a wrestling match.
"Somebody to Love" is highly appropriate for this venue I suppose (and also happens to be one of my favorite songs).
Give me that soouuulll baby.
Also I can lip sync to just about any 90s love ballad and I have a soft spot for 80s tracks.
(P.S. If you thought I was referring to the J. Beebs version of this song, please shoot yourself in the foot because that is an egregious error. EDIT: 2 years later after writing the preceding, his new tracks are pretty dope)
- SHOWS -
I am terribly drawn to procedural dramas like Law and Order and Criminal Minds. If I happen upon it on TV, I'll get totally sucked in.
I can be coerced into watching the occasional anime, especially if it's food or adventure/fantasy related.
I have a penchant for being scared shitless via really terrible horror-type shows. I loved Penny Dreadful and have watched most of the American Horror Story series.
Other than that - anything comedy, adventure, or intriguing usually makes it on my list. I keep tabs on: Blindspot, John Oliver, Great British Bake Off (I'm addicted to sugar), Bear Grylls: Running Wild, Naked and Afraid, The Voice (I don't sing very well, but damn I wish mommy and daddy paid for voice lessons growing up), Game of Thrones, Black Sails...
- BOOKS -
I used to read A LOT as a kid, part of being a really high-achieving nerd. I should dedicate more time to reading these days. I'm a huge fan of historical fiction and The Alchemist remains one of my favorite reads.
- FOOD -
Everything is up for grabs and no culture is safe from my hungry belly. Street food, fine dining, food trucks, home cooked meals. I love it all. To top it off I have a terrible sweet tooth and I love all things pastry.
-A good belly laugh
-Something to strive for
-A rockin' pair of heels
-A home cooked meal
