My self-summary
I play a lot of video games. I haven't reached basement-dweller status, but it's my primary hobby so I figure it should be out there front and center. MMORPGs, regular RPGs, FPS, puzzle games, adventure games, whatever. I mainly stick to my PC and sometimes my PS4.

I'm also pretty passionate about programming. I'm sure that sounds horrendously boring to some people, but to me it's exciting. It's like lining up a million little pieces in a complicated machine and then watching as it all magically works together to do what you want (or spectacularly fail in ways you couldn't even imagine). I went to college for a degree in computer science and I'm very proud of where it has led me.

As for my personality, I tend to be a sarcastic person. I like to poke fun at my friends and I enjoy when others poke back. I'm an "indoors" kind of person but I don't mind going out as well. In fact, there's probably a bunch of things in the area that I've still yet to see or do. Sometimes I can be quiet, but that doesn't mean I'm not thinking and if you ask me my opinion on something I'll be more than happy to share.

Also, I recently got a cat. He's a big ball of floof and very adorable.
What I’m doing with my life
Professionally, I'm working at a video game studio as a software engineer. It can be a pretty stressful job, but at the same time it can be a lot of fun. The projects I work on are interesting and the people I work with are always smart and friendly so I'm pretty happy with where I am at the moment.

Personally, I'm just living my life as it comes doing whatever I feel like doing.
I’m really good at
I'm good at anything technical in general, I was always the "tech support" goto for my friends and family. I even worked in IT for a few years while I was in college.

As for something a little more cheesy, I'd say I'm good at being an honest person. Ideally that would be a given for anyone, but sometimes it feels like it's not. If nothing else then I'm definitely not a good liar and I strive to avoid it whenever possible.

And video games. I'm good at video games. Sometimes.
The first things people usually notice about me
It used to be my hair, at one point it was all the way down to my chest. It might have also been my clothes, I used to wear only black. Yeah, I was quite the cool guy in school.

I've since grown out of those phases, but I think somewhere in my heart remains that weird emo kid who sat in the back of the class and never bothered anyone.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've always had a problem with favorites changing constantly, so here's just stuff I like.

Movies - Star Wars (the original trilogy), various Batman movies, The Matrix

Shows - Futurama, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, South Park, The Office, How It's Made

I also binge on anime from time to time, such as: Fullmetal Alchemist: Bortherhood, Gurren Lagann, Trigun, Attack on Titan, WataMote, Dragonball, and (of course) Dragonball Z

Video Games - Halo 2, Dark Souls, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, The Witcher 3, Team Fortress 2

Music - I tend to pick up music in bits and pieces instead of by band. Genres I like include: metal, rock, electronic, classical, and sometimes show/game soundtracks

Food - Pizza in a variety of forms, burgers (with fries), some kinds of noodles, sushi, and way too much junk food
Six things I could never do without
The Internet
Video Games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about a lot of different things. I know that's a silly answer, but if something is worth my attention then it's also worth thinking about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Like I said in my summary, I enjoy spending evenings in. Playing games, watching shows or movies, working on some kind of project, things like that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was a kid I tried really hard to shoot ki blasts like in DBZ. Unfortunately it never worked.
You should message me if
You should message me if you feel like it, of course. I'm open to meeting all sorts of people.
