My self-summary
I'll start this off with my primary hobby: Video games. I've been playing video games since before I had a full grasp of the English language and I'll probably be playing until I die. Whether it's for the thrill of competition, the satisfaction of overcoming a challenge, the experience of immersing yourself in another world, the emotional journey of a "2deep4u" story, or simply as a means to waste some time, video games have a lot to offer and I intend to make use of them.

Another thing I'm pretty passionate about is programming. I'm delving into extreme nerd territory with this, but there truly is a beauty to computer code that most people seem to overlook. All the magic of modern technology is driven in part by competent software and understanding how that magic works is fascinating. This fascination has led to a degree in computer science and the beginnings of a career in the software industry, something I'm very proud of.

Breaking away from the nerd stuff, I tend to be sarcastic which influences my sense of humor quite a bit. This sarcasm extends to how I behave around my friends, if I'm poking fun at you it means I like you and I enjoy when others poke back. It's strange how that works, but it does.

I'm largely a reclusive person (perhaps not surprising). I enjoy staying in for a quiet night and I do it quite often. That's not to say I don't get out of the house every now and then, I'd go crazy otherwise, but I definitely need my time to relax. The best nights, however, are ones spent with someone special, regardless of the activity.
What I’m doing with my life
Professionally, I'm working for a video game studio as a software engineer. It's a bit stressful and hectic sometimes, but I don't think I could have landed a better job (especially right out of school). The projects I work on are fun and the people I work with are amazing, so I'm pretty happy with where I am at the moment.

Personally, I'm just living my life as it comes. My major goal of graduating from college and getting a job has been accomplished, where I go from here is still unknown.
I’m really good at
I'm good at anything technical in general, I was always the "tech support" goto for my friends and family. I even worked in IT for a few years while I was in college.

Beyond that, I'd say I'm good at being an honest person. Ideally that would be a given for anyone, but sometimes it feels like it's not. If nothing else then I'm definitely not a good liar and I strive to avoid it whenever possible.

And video games. I'm good at video games. Sometimes.
The first things people usually notice about me
It used to be my hair, at one point it was all the way down to my chest.

They also probably notice I'm a bit quiet sometimes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Some books I've enjoyed in the past have been the Harry Potter series and a few of the Halo novels, but I don't tend to read many books nowadays.

Movies - Picking some movies I've liked off the top of my head: Star Wars, various Batman movies, the Harry Potty movies, the LotR movies, and The Matrix.

Shows - Not an absolute list, but some shows I enjoy include Futurama, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, South Park, The Office, Mythbusters, and How It's Made.

I also binge on anime from time to time. Some of my favorites have been Fullmetal Alchemist: Bortherhood and Gurren Lagann. Others I like are Attack on Titan, WataMote, Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball, and (of course) Dragonball Z.

Video Games - Some of my favorite games over the years are Halo 2, Dark Souls, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, World of Warcraft, and Team Fortress 2. While I have a few consoles, as a member of the PC Master Race my preference is, of course, PC.

Music - I tend to only pick up music in bits and pieces, but some bands I've come to like include Metallica, In Flames, The Protomen, Arch Enemy, Muse, Dethklok, Dragonforce, Linkin Park, and Killswitch Engage. I'm also fond of a few anime and video game soundtracks.

Food - Pizza in a variety of forms, burgers (with fries), some kinds of noodles, and way too much junk food. I definitely need to expand on this.
The six things I could never do without
The Internet
Video Games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about a lot of different things. I know that's a silly answer, but if something is worth my attention then it's also worth thinking about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Like I said in my summary, I enjoy spending evenings in. Playing games, watching shows or movies, things like that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was a kid I tried really hard to shoot ki blasts like in DBZ. Unfortunately it never worked.
You should message me if
You should message me if you've got some kind of nerdy passion that you'd like to share. An interest in video games would be great too, maybe we could play together sometime. Or maybe we could just get dinner, food is always nice.
