My self-summary
I would like people to know that I have more education than just an associate degree. I owned a landscape business for about ten years. I became a paramedic, paramedic instructor, and crital care paramedic. Now I work for the fire dept. and I'm only 28 hours away from finishing my BA at EIU online. I will own another business one day. I am constantly thinking about the next business opportunity, although I'll admit I'm pretty happy where I'm at right now. It took 11 years to get this job, and it was worth it!

I think people need to get to know me a little before they start to see and understand my sense of humor. I think it is kinda dry, but I love to laugh. Just wait 'til you see a get together with a few of my closest friends. Constant laughs!

....trying something new. I would simply like to meet new people. I work long hours, 24 hours at a time. I like the idea of meeting someone that I would perhaps not otherwise meet! However, I consider myself a little bit "old school". I like meeting people face to face. I don't think one can really get to know someone through email. There is just so much that is missing. The internet is a great place to start, but please include more than one photo.

I love motorcycles, martial arts, and the outdoors. I live in the city due to my job, but i look forward to moving out of town again someday. Family is very important to me. My mother and brother live 200 miles from Chicago. My brother has a boat. I'm hoping to spend a lot of time with him this year.

I'm a little unsure about online dating, so say hi! We can start off as friends and see where it goes! I think it is very hard to learn what someone is really like over a computer. I look forward to hearing from you.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for the Fire Dept. here in Chicago. I love my job. I enjoy working with the people at my firehouse. I am a Firefighter and a Paramedic. Every day is something new and exciting. Sometimes I actually get to help people and some of them even say thank you. I love my time off. I have to thank my brother, who is a Springfield fireman, who introduced me to this profession. I don't know what else I would be doing. It is a humbling experience to have this job knowing how many have tried and failed to attain their dream.
