My self-summary
Hey, I'm David! I'm from San Diego originally, lived in LA and Denver for a bit and now I'm in SLC for work and it's been great so far. I like playing guitar, cooking, eating food, travelin', coffee and good conversations with just about anyone. Not really looking to date, certainly open to it but my priority is making friends since I just moved here.

FYI, girls in pictures are either my sister or other family. I hate taking photos or being in them so that's all I got. Unfortunately I don't have any shirtless selfies nor am I planning to take any in the foreseeable future.
What I’m doing with my life
Getting adjusted to a new job and new city but so far it's been a great decision to move here. So much free parking! And mountains!

As for life outside of work I don't know anyone here so just trying to make new SLC friends. So if you like coffee and tea, events (farmers markets, live music, shindigs ect.), cooking and baking, traveling and exploring other cultures, hiking in the mountains, playing guitar/jammin, documentaries, podcasts, meditation, exploring new restaurants, philosophizing and more I'd love to chat. And if we have absolutely nothing in common that's cool too.
I’m really good at
-Playing 1980s heavy metal guitar

-Making impulse decisions to travel somewhere and totally under packing and preparing

-Going down internet/Reddit/YouTube rabbit holes. "Gee, I wonder what would dinosaurs look like if they had feathers? Let's explore that topic and somehow find out what the cast of Saved by the Bell has been up to all these years."

-Listening to people explain bat shit crazy ideas while trying not to judge. So if you have a conspiracy theory, bizarre religion or philosophy and you just need someone to rant to, I gotchu!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I lean toward non fiction for the most part since I'm trying to figure this crazy world out. I especially documentaries. Subjects like food (chef's table), international affairs (Vice, Frontline), cultures (undiscovered amazon tribes lately), nature planet earth/blue planet (I like Bonobos/apes/monkeys, dolphins and whales), Scientology/cults, bizarre subcultures (furries, bronies) ect.

If you listen to Your Mom's House we probably have the same sense of humor so we can probably be friends. Other podcasts Joe Rogan, Bill Burr, Sam Harris, Radiolab. Pretty much what you'd expect haha.

Music: Iron Maiden, Judah's Priest, Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree, Glen Hansard, Meshuggah, Sturgill Simpson, Noelle Gallagher to name a few. Do you like Phil Collins? Songs in languages I don't understand.

Don't think about genre, there's pretty much music with or without soul/heart/expression in my book. Which doesn't sound prententious whatsoever.
You should message me if
I'm still figuring SLC out but if there was a scale with extreme LDS mormons on one side and the extreme counter culture on the other, I'd like to meet people somewhere in the middle.

Always looking for people to play guitar with!
