My self-summary
I think I have a general positive and optimistic outlook on life. A balance between physically active and relaxed activities is ideal. Fun activities for me include, Skiing snow and water, Basketball, Green Bay Football, Bicycling, Kayaking, Motorcycles on and off road, Friend gatherings, Books, Hiking mountains, Blazers, Packers, Exploring new local places, Jet Skiing, Travel, Concerts, Good movies, Beach walking, Comedy, Conversations and stories that make us laugh, Cooking an exceptional meal together, Flying, Sailing, Home / yard improvement, Gazing at the Cosmos (away from light noise.)

The best anyone can probably do in this space is create a snap shot of themselves and see if that sparks an interest.

What I’m doing with my life
Well, what's been going on lately.......I like my job in mechanical engineering / project management and find it rewarding. I have one daughter and she is attending College in Bend, being very independent these days. I have made a point to go to more concerts in the last few years. Some of the memorable shows were U2, The Shins, Snow Patrol, Bruce Springsteen, Beck, Deathcab, The Who, Roger Waters, Pearl Jam, Paul Simon, Civil Twilight, Avett Brothers, Keb Mo, Matchbox 20, Counting Crows, Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Coldplay, Mat Kearney, Michael Franti, War on Drugs, Cake, Mazzy Star, Boxer Rebellion. Good music for me comes from a variety of genre's. Most of it for me lately comes from the alternative, indie, rock categories.

The comedy at the "Helium Comedy Club" has been really funny; I like to go there for the healing power of laughter on occasion. I have traveled much of the United States, including Hawaii and been to Canada and Mexico. I am planning a trip to western Europe soon. I still have a lot of adventures on the "bucket list" to complete.

I’m really good at
This sections content could so easily come accross as arrogant and cocky, my high end skills and attributes must be demonstrated and experienced. :-)
The first things people usually notice about me
I have not interviewed people about what they notice first about me.
This question is out of left field to me.
If I had to speculate, it could be my calm, commanding, Jedi like presence. :-)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books by Tom Clancey, David Baldacci, John Grisham, Clive Cussler, Earnest Hemingway, Ian Fleming, Robert Ludlam, Joseph Conrad, Carl Haaisen.

Movies - Braveheart, Grand Budapest Hotel, Skyfall, The Bourne movies, Hubble 3D, movies by Coen Brothers, Farley Brothers, Marvel Studios, DC, Peter Jackson, Ridley Scott, James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, Judd Apatow.

Food - Thai, Mexican, Japanese, South American, BBQ, fresh NW

Shows - I don't watch a lot of tv, more into movies and occasional Blazer and GB Packer games and watching a few series on dvd. I did like Seinfeld, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Portlandia and Game of Thrones I watch when the seasons get on dvd/Netflix.
I believe that most reality tv is a show case for the demise and decay of modern western civilization..
Six things I could never do without
My daughter
My senses and cogent cognitive function
An adventurous and curious mind
Humor and laughing
....and what will you do without FREEDOM

Of course, never over rated -
Food (that I like)
Sleep...once in awhile
The birds, and yes the bees
Career / income
My motorcycle
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Living in the present....with random thoughts of the future.
The vast possibilities and secrets of the cosmos.
The orgin and meaning of life.
My next big vacation and its details.
Project completion details and schedules.
What is the most fun I can have next weekend that goes well with the weather forecast.
Meeting the next great person in my life.
"There are 2 basic things that are essential in launching a new relationship, chemistry and timing. Chemistry happens on occasion randomly, but it turns out timing is a bitch."
- Robin Sherbotsky
On a typical Friday night I am
Firday is a moving target for activities. Sometimes chilling at home with a movie. Sometimes out to dinner and or music with friends.
As Sinatra used to say, "I feel sorry for people who don't drink, how they feel when they get up in the morning, that's as good as they'll feel all day."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Private!? It won't be private for long on the world wide web! I did see the movie, "The Princess Bride" like 10 times. I had a daughter who really liked that movie. I have to admit that it is pretty entertaining.
