My self-summary
I'm an American boy, originally from California. I gave up the California sunshine (and my sandals) to relocate to London for work. As a London newbie, I'm excited to explore all that London has to offer, and hoping to meet fun, interesting people in the process (hence, the online dating profile)!

Whilst I was raised in Los Angeles, I do not have blond hair, I'm quite awful at surfing (though I love the ocean), and I'm reasonably well-informed on international affairs, so I've been told that I do not fit the "LA bro" stereotype.

Although career-driven, I'm also very laid back and easy-going. I love to laugh, and I don't take myself too seriously. I also love to travel, and I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore quite a bit internationally (Turkey is hopefully next on the list!).

Although a bit of a political/current events junkie, I suppose that most of my friends would describe me as the coolest guy in the room (yes, it still counts if said room is in a library ;).

I also really enjoy watching sports and being "active" (apparent code for exercising regularly), which keeps the inner-nerd in check.
What I’m doing with my life
Acclimating to life in London (still shopping for raincoats and umbrellas!).
I’m really good at
laughing at my own jokes.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my American accent. Also, for what it is worth, I've also been told that I have nice eyelashes (not the first physical trait that I would pick to be complimented, but I'll take it :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Law school pretty much killed my attention span for long novels, so my reading list now generally consists of periodicals (such as New York Times, Economist, Atlantic Monthly, and Foreign Affairs) or topical/historical non-fiction.

Movies: Blow, Shawshank Redemption, The Royal Tenenbaums, Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight, & Superbad. I'm not a big moviegoer, but I am usually open to anything other than crummy horror or action movies lacking a coherent plot.

TV: Modern Family, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Bang Theory; Girls; Mad Men; and of course the occasional trash reality tv show (not proud of the last mention)

Music: Honestly, I listen to pretty much anything other than country music. Hip Hop (Tupac/Snoop/Dre/Lil Wayne); Alternative/Indie (Phoenix, The Killers, Weezer, The Strokes, Death Cab, Postal Service); and Top 40 (*cough* Rihanna/Adele/Lana Del Rey *cough*).

Food: I'll eat most anything, though my favorite cuisines are Japanese, Thai, Mexican, Seafood, & Italian.
Six things I could never do without
Pro Sports
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out/ meeting friends at bars for drinks or being lazy and watching Netflix
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I pierced my ear when I was 17, wore a faux diamond stud for 6 months (b/c naturally every nerdy, Jewish kid needs to sport gaudy bling), and the hole never closed.
You should message me if
You have suggestions for fun things to do in London (or would be interested in exploring with me)!
