My self-summary
I moved back to KC from Austin, TX last summer and so far I have mixed feelings about it. I love Kansas City and the people here, but I really miss the year-round warm weather and all of the fun outdoorsy things that can be done in the Austin area. I think the food is better, overall, there too.

My family is also here in this area, so I'm always drawn to KC and my roots are here in the Midwest. I could see myself moving again one day, but who knows, I might meet the woman of my dreams and decide to stay here permanently.

I was an athlete in college (KU) and enjoy being active. I've always camped and usually had some sport I've been involved with, whether it was running, racing mtn bikes, backpacking, or kayaking. I enjoy camping when the weather is nice but tend to like air conditioning when I'm not outside being active. I tend to not like to sit and fester in the heat for no reason if I can avoid it.

My parents and my brother live in the area and I have a great sister-in-law and a very cute nephew that I enjoy spending time with. I've also got a niece on the way, which is pretty exciting!
What I’m doing with my life
I am a system designer in the audio/video industry. I design theaters and smart home systems for custom builders and commercial clients. I've had the opportunity to work on show homes in major national magazines, work with famous clients, and overall have an amazing career doing something I enjoy and meeting really cool people along the way.

When I lived in Austin I worked out most days of the week. With the weather differences here in KC, it makes it a little more challenging to stay motivated, but I have two gym memberships and try to make it to the gym when I can. I would love to meet someone that challenges me to eat healthy, but will still be open enough to grab a pizza or burger from time to time.

Staying active is important to me too. I'm pretty easily entertained so I'm usually up for most outdoor activities as long as they have some resemblance to fun. Biking, hiking, kayaking, disc golf, running, volleyball, zip lining, boating, or just going to the pool are all pretty fun. That being said, I love taking naps and hanging out in the air conditioning. I'm just as happy curled up on the couch watching a movie or doing some sort of project around home to pass the time.

I was a cross country and track runner for KU in college and I'm dabbling with getting back into running. If you're a runner and would like to motivate me, we can definitely be friends.
I’m really good at
making people laugh and fixing things.....
The first things people usually notice about me
my bald head or my smile. People have told me that it's my eyes, but they're brown and I don't see what's so cool about brown eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: I love westerns for some reason...probably because I've had enough Skrillex in recent movies to last me a few years. American History X, Good Will Hunting, LoTR movies, History of Violence, The Marvel series of movies, comedies, some indie films are pretty cool. I'm always up for watching Zoolander too. I can be pursueded to see romantic movies, serious movies and documentaries......I just need to be with the right person.

Music: I'm all over the board and I'll listen to most anything within reason.
Six things I could never do without
1. Water
2. Naps (who doesn't like naps?!)
3. My hair clippers
4. Kayak
5. My washing machine
6. Deodorant
I spend a lot of time thinking about
when I should buy a house.
On a typical Friday night I am
either getting ready for a kayaking tournament and heading to be early, or grabbing dinner with a friend or occasionally going out for the evening.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In due time my friend, in due time...... ;)
You should message me if
you're active, stay fit, and wake up happy most days.
