My self-summary
In a nutshell, I'm a nice guy with a side of rough edges who's relatively new to Old Town Alexandria. Looking for some company to explore the neighborhood with and have some fun. I'm a pretty laid back guy- although I admit the things that I believe in get me fired up. I'm the guy who prefers to be the quiet one in the background rather than the center of attention, but isn't afraid to elevate a party to a degree of . ridiculousness when with friends. I love dogs, family, country music and believe chivalry is wounded but not dead. I dig camping and hitting the gym, prefer books to Kindle (unless I'm traveling...so much more convenient to go e-book), and like black coffee outside in crisp weather. I'm a bourbon or scotch and stogies with the boys kind of man, but not afraid to cuddle or hold hands when we're together.

I'm the kind of guy whose close friends are not just friends but an extension of my family. So you can imagine we're a pretty tight-knit crew.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to pack as many adventures into as short a time as possible. Prior military- served in the Israeli Defense Force- then spent some time overseas as a security contractor, embarked on a career a few years ago as a consultant (Yes, I know- another consultant in DC...weird...) that still takes me around the world.

Outside my professional life, I spend a good deal of time with my close friends- close enough I consider them family- exploring the food and drink scene, checking out live music, cooking out playing a little cornhole...you know, enjoying life!
I’m really good at
I've been told I'm pretty good in a crisis. I've also been told I have a knack for picking the best thing on a menu. I'd like to think I'm good at being a smartass too.
The first things people usually notice about me
That my attitude tends to project. That, and sometimes the barracks pours out of my mouth at inopportune moments. Want more? I'll be exceedingly original and say smile and eyes. Bet you haven't heard that one before. But seriously, folks also notice that I'm pretty direct and real as can be.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why I'm spending so much time thinking about filling out questions about what I spend a lot of time thinking about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Exhausted from the week, or out with friends at happy hour and beyond.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'll admit in private. Obviously...

Alright, fine- I have more tattoos than one might expect to see on a nice Jewish boy.

Bonus: I think talking animals are hilarious.
You should message me if
You're sassy, classy and think we might be a good fit.

You respect the sanctity of "Man Night," and accept that it will likely be a lot more fun than your "Girls' Night Out."
