My self-summary
Writing this kind of self-summary seems like something you would do for school after summer vacation, right? Well let’s see… I’ve been living in LA for a little over a year now, but before that I was living in Northern California, Oregon, and various other places (military brat). I haven’t gotten a chance to explore LA as much as I’d like yet (because I work crazy hours) but this is something I’m working on (I’d especially like to go to the beach more often!). I enjoy learning new things (lately, I’ve been learning all about the U.S. Trademark system, which is great fun). I love sushi and video games (Mass Effect franchise currently, but I'll always have a place in my heart for Zelda). I’m trying to get back into working out regularly to stay in shape (round is a shape right?). I find humor in most situations, and I try not to take life too seriously, but people have told me that I do a great Eeyore impression (thanks for noticing...).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: "Lord of the Rings," "A Brave New World," "Steppenwolf," "Slaughterhouse 5," "The Brothers Karamazov," and Dragonlance books or similar. But in recent years, I've made the switch to audio books because I have less time to read, and audiobooks are great ways to pass time when you're stuck in hideous LA traffic.

Movies: Avengers, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, and The Princess Bride are probably my favorites of all time. Other than that, I like all kinds of movies - action films (from Die Hard to The Expendables), Marvel superhero films (Iron Man and Thor), and silly comedies (The Hangover, Airplane, and Clue). I do tend to avoid gorn (gore-porn: e.g. Saw, Hostel), and indie films who's artistic merit seems to stem solely from them being "hard to watch."

Shows: Archer, Community, Arrested Development, Southpark, Avatar: the Last Airbender.

Music: I love the Lonely Island parodies, I feel comfortable saying I'm a fan of Imagine Dragons and Florence + The Machine. I have a special affinity for 80s rock ( i.e. Queen, Huey Lewis and the News, Billy Joel, Robert Palmer, and a half dozen one hit wonders), but I'm pretty open to every kind of music - even country (Johnny Cash) and pop music (Lady Gaga, Pink, etc.).

Food: I'm a big fan of Sushi, Italian food, and "sports bar cuisine" (chicken wings, steaks, etc.), but I'm generally not very picky when it comes to food. I'm not big on crustaceans though, and I HATE broccoli! Oh, also, I cannot imagine life without Dr. Pepper. Nectar of the Gods!
The six things I could never do without
Dr Pepper, the internet, a suit, milkshakes, music, and beauty.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a recovering World of Warcraft addict.
You should message me if
Message me if you have good suggestions for sushi places in LA (and you'd like to go to them!); if you're into nerdy things and nerds who are also into nerdy things; if you're not crazy.
