My self-summary
oh god how did i get here

I think too much and too hard. I spend a lot of time philosophizing, writing sad stories, reading, and playing video games / watching anime in my off hours. I'm trying to put on some muscle for some costumes, so fitness is now kinda wedged in there as well.
Oh, and I guess I'm a sucker for a good romance story.

intersectional feminist, queer, open to poly, moe as fuck
whatever pronouns you like
What I’m doing with my life
Just finished getting my bachelor's in Sociology. Doing the whole job hunt thing right now, but may try to get a small business off the ground and see if that ends up snowballing into something big. Whether or not it does, I eventually want to end up in a creative job, writing. Keeping myself alright financially with temp work.
I’m really good at
Writing, dancing, introspection, acting, singing, cooking, telling stories, and sadly enough, social research.
The first things people usually notice about me
Depending on the day, you'll see one of two mes. You catch me when I'm full of stage presence and articulate speech, laid back, outgoing, and eager to please folks. Otherwise, I'll be in one of my flustered, semi-shy states where I'll be worrying if senpai noticed me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors- Arthur C. Clarke, Frank Herbert, Aldous Huxley, Mary and Percy-Bysshe Shelley, Neil Gaiman, Vonnegut (though I haven't read enough of him), Tom Stoppard, David Foster Wallace, Khalil Gibran, William Blake, Paulo Coelho, Scott Lynch, Michelle Alexander.

Movies- Blade Runner, Pulp Fiction, Baron Munchausen, Up, Fifth Element, Being John Malkovich, Fight Club, The Thing (the original), Primer, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, The Seven Samurai, The Man With No Name series, Endhiran, Paprika, the Miyazaki films, Big Trouble in Little China, The Big Lebowski, The Princess Bride, My Dinner With Andre, The Triplets of Belleville, anything with Nic Cage. Scattered tastes, I know.

Music- Justice, Tom Waits, Daft Punk, Gorrilaz, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pretty Lights, The Pillows, Beats Antique, ELO, The Go! Team, Jamiroquai, No Doubt, Vangelis, Moon Hooch, Mystery Skulls, and assorted jazz and swing

Anime/manga- Blame!, JoJo, Nichijou, Steins;Gate, Baccanno!, TTGL, Code Geass, Cowboy Bebop, FMA:B, EVA, Railgun, Eden of the East, Kaiba
Six things I could never do without
What? No. This is stupid. This is the "generic answer" test question, isn't it? The one that separates the boring people from the interesting ones, right?

Alright, you get three, but I'm going to make them count- and they're going to be actually relevant to dating.

Honest, open communication. I don't "play the game", I don't make predatory moves, and I don't keep secrets. I expect the same in return.
Affection- given and taken.
A chance to show off- be it through cooking, or through art, or even in bed. It's not just for praise (though it's appreciated), I just like to please you.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. Possibilities. Love. Technology. Identity. Story ideas.
On a typical Friday night I am
Curled at the foot of my own bed, watching the stars, a bottle of vodka in one hand, and a half-written story in the other. Maybe swinging from a lampost somewhere in a storm, belting misheard lyrics to some song by some artist you respect because I'm just cool like that.

Or more likely, at a friend's apartment, keeping up the neighbors with our fictional antics.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am the doofus. Most majestic of all earth's creatures.
Watch how I gracefully get stuck in trees, tangled in cords, and am easily defeated by doors that must be pulled, rather than pushed.
You should message me if
If you're an interesting person. I'd say I'm looking for level-headed, rational folks, but what the hell- let's get into some trouble. Weirdos are welcome too.

I'm actually mildly terrified of messaging complete strangers, so if I've visited your page and didn't message, I might be counting on you to initiate contact! Maybe. Probably.
Look, I'm bored, okay? Just hit me up for a chat.
