My self-summary
Hello, I'm a guy. The end. Have a nice night, folks. But seriously, I'm a full-time RN who likes movies, books, interesting conversations, fun times, and learning new things about the world and people. I geek out over geeky things, so yeah, I guess I'm pretty geeky: comic books, movies, video games, collectable merchandise, the works.

I like to think I'm very easy going and relaxed, silly at times with a more than healthy dose of sarcasm and gallows humor. I'm not too much of a party person; though, I do like attending them, but I don't get drunk and start screaming off the top of my lungs just for the sake of getting screaming drunk. I would much rather prefer a night of hanging out, watching movies, nice dinners, and talking to someone about our favorite books, movies, pop culture reference, shows, hobbies, etc. I like to find out why people like the things they do and maybe share something I like with someone similar. Perhaps even discover something we both didn't know we enjoyed. But hey, if the occasion calls for it, I'm up for pretty much anything as long as there's a reasonable chance we won't end up in jail at the end of the night.
What I’m doing with my life
As of right now, I am a full-time RN but I do plan to go back to school again. As for what degree, I have yet to decide. I figure I could either continue my current course and get an NP or something. Or I could just forgo that altogether and get a new degree just for the heck of it.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm Japanese or Chinese, which is funny because I'm neither. I'm Filipino. Close enough I guess.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books? Too many to list and even harder to rank but to sample a few: 1984, The Magicians, Going Bovine, The Sandman series, War of the Flowers, Ready Player One, John Dies at the End, A Song of Ice and Fire series, American Gods, The Great Gatsby, Day Tripper, Good Omens, The Silmarillion. Really anything by Neil Gaiman or Scott Synder. Shakespeare's pretty rad also, though only his tragedies and some of his historical plays, his comedies gets a little tiresome.

Movies? Same problem as the books but here goes: The Illusionist (2010 French film, not the Edward Norton one, although that was pretty good too.), The Wrestler, Coriolanus, Princess Mononoke, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Lord of War, Midnight in Paris, Fight Club, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Drive, Mad Max: Fury Road (and Road Warrior, too), The Little Prince, Road to Perdition, The MCU (with some exceptions) a bunch others but I can't remember. Also, pretty much any movie from the Disney Revival (2009-onward)...so far.

Shows? Big cartoon fan here. Steven Universe, Adventure Time, The Loud House, Gravity Falls, Young Justice, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, We Bare Bears. Non-cartoon examples: American Gods, Game of Thrones (no surprise with those two, see book section).
Six things I could never do without
Good friends
Good books
Good food
Good movies
Good feels
.... I'll let you know about the sixth one when I find it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, love, people, the nature of things. What I am doing with my life? How can I try to be a better, more productive person? What am I going to eat for my next meal? The state of the world and the respective cultures therein? Will we survive the robo-apocalypse? Who would win if superheroes ever really fought each other (spoiler: it's Batman). What will happen in Frozen 2? Kind of a lot of random stuff actually.
On a typical Friday night I am
Unfortunately, on Friday nights I'm working, but on my days off I'm usually at the gym then hanging out with my friends afterwards. We get food, then watch a movie (either at the theater or rental), or we go to some event happening close by - a play, a party, whatnot. I don't drink that much but I like to think I keep my own share of vices.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I have poor social skills and even poorer moral graces, and the fact that I'm totally winging it here.
You should message me if
...you want to.
