My self-summary
I hate writing these things, they always come off so self-aggrandizing. I guess I'm basically just a nice guy. I have a good sense of humor, if you like sarcasm. If not, we may not get along. I try to be pretty laid back, whenever possible, and I get along with most people. I'm hopeless romantic, but also a realist. I don't have a ton of faith in the whole internet dating thing, but It's been a while for me, so I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm really just looking for someone who i can be with, both romantically and intellectually. If we can't have a decent conversation, I'm not interested.

I am funny, smart, and kind
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from UConn in July of 09 with a degree in political science. Since then, I've been looking for a job in the humanitarian aid field and am considering applying to Americorps or possibly grad school. I work part time at a retail chain for now, to pay the bills.
I’m really good at
making people laugh, listening, insomnia, knowing bits of strange, esoteric, arcane, dubious, and/or useless trivia
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a twin brother, so i get "Do I know you from somewhere?" more often than most people
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Too many to name, but I'll try to just pick a few - A Madness of Angels, Anna Karenina, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, In The Presence of Mine Enemies, Agent of Change, the Harry Potter series, Dresden Files, Sidhartha,

Movies: The Princess Bride, Willow, Pi, The Legend of 1900, Braveheart, Serenity, Scent of a Woman, The Quiet Man, Taken, Rushmore, Wedding Crashers, and many more

Music: The Beatles, James Taylor, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Bob Marley, Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, The Shins, Steely Dan, Carbon Leaf...

Food: Pizza, Lobster, Veal Parm, Mei fun, sushi...
Six things I could never do without

2. Books
3. friends
4. Music
5. good conversation
6. Cable
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, books i've read, finding a job. Increasingly, I am anxious for my so called "real life" to start.
On a typical Friday night I am
Reading a good book, playing video games, watching baseball with my dad, out with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I yearn for some modicum of artistic talent. I have tried my hand at music, drawing, poetry, writing, and through it all, have remained spectacularly untalented in every regard. Music especially, i long for, but instruments are just not my thing, and my singing voice is passable at best, which doesnt stop me from trying.
You should message me if
you're cool and want to talk
