My self-summary
Former computer programmer and small (really freaking small) business owner pursuing a new career in CT. Also, I just discovered I don't have a single good picture that includes my face. I'll try and upload one soon.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently moved to CT to train for a promotion. I should be moving to a different location by the end of the year, possibly Derby, possibly Providence RI, and possibly elsewhere. I'm completely new to CT and know no one in-state, so aside from work things get pretty boring here.
I’m really good at
I like to help people understand things, if they want to, or not if they don't, and I'm good at listening to understand. I try to listen more than I talk, but sometimes I miss a cue and mansplain. It can happen v_v

I'm good at admitting I'm wrong, but also at addressing my problematic behaviors once they're brought to light. I believe in never stopping challenging oneself to be better. To this end, I'm devoted to the principles of openness, honesty, and communication.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I do a lot of creating in my downtime, and not much consuming.

I like to design and program simple video games.
I draw and think a lot about making a web comic.
I play and write music.
I cook and bake from scratch.
I write, though not nearly as much as I used to.

I like to support and get to know the musicians I listen to. Some of my favorites are: Kristin Andreassen, The Stray Birds, Jefferson Hamer, Laura Cortese, and so many others. One of the things that brings me greatest satisfaction in life is being part of a community of musicians.

That's pretty much what drives me in general. I want to be part of interdependent communities of support and creativity.
The six things I could never do without
My brother.
My other brother.
My sister.
My other brothers, sister, parents, cousins, and family.
My friends, and the music many of them make.
Black Beans.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What is my next big creative project going to be? Now that my job trajectory is pretty much settled, I can commit time to new projects. I've been thinking about writing and recording an EP, or starting a web comic. I'll probably try to finish one of the many programming projects I've started. Each would be a big task that I don't know if I could finish, but also a chance to grow and improve on a skill.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sometimes I get two days off in a row, so I take the time to go back to RI and hang out with friends. That's usually dinner and talking for hours.
You should message me if
If you want to take a lazy day and watch Steven Universe together, I'm down for that. But I'll also support you if you want to climb a mountain or dismantle the patriarchy. My "ideal partner", as OKCupid puts it, would similarly hold me to my ideals and principles without losing sight of patience and empathy. If it speaks to you, send me a message.
