My self-summary
Family and friends are the most important part of my life. I am passionate about understanding the world and the universe so I can help make a better place for as many people as possible. I enjoy hearing other people's opinions and discussing the issues of the day with an open mind. My humor leans toward the witty sarcasm and silly slapstick sides.

I'm looking for a woman that enjoys life, empathizes with others, has an imagination, a curiosity to explore, and can laugh at life while respecting others. If you like to dance, have in-depth conversations, play or watch soccer, or explore our world, please say hi.

So here's my serious attempted at self analysis without witty self deprecation. You are more than welcome to give witty, snarky, funny comments back to me, haha.
Good listener
Comfortable in many situations and socially flexible.
As the Buddhists teach, acknowledge the Buddha in everyone, or at least I try to see the inherent worth in everyone.
Always asking the question why and trying to understand the world and people better.
I'm a Geographer.
I'm a terrible speller, (What sick devil ruled that the word phonetic shouldn't be spell finnetticly?)
I love playing and watching sports, (I'm an American male, that's how I bonded with my father!)
Soccer (Futbol), Football, Hockey, just the Red Sox for baseball, in that order of passion.
I still play soccer in adult leagues and work out after work to keep in shape.
I refuse to hide the fact that I'm an intellectual.
I want to listen to your ideas and opinions because that's the best way to get to know someone. Hey, I'll tell you my thoughts if you tell me your's? Oohhh...that was almost dirty.
Most of my TV watching consists of sports, news, and comedies.
My faith is Unitarian Universalist. If you don't know what that is and, or want to know more, just say hi!
There's more, but I'd better not write a book here. Please say hi if you want to know more!
What I’m doing with my life
I recently bought a condo her in northern Virginia. I moved to the DC area 7 years ago, and NOVA 3 years ago. I grew up in Connecticut and went to college at SUNY Albany (Albany NY) to study Climatology, but quickly discovered Geography was my true calling. I obtained my undergrad and masters degrees in Geography with an Urban Planning minor and GIS certificate. Geographic Information Systems is a fantastic career tool and I enjoy every minute of my current job.
As for the rest of my life, I enjoy...
Hanging out with friends,
Happy hours after work,
Going to DC United matches,
I also play soccer in a coed league in northern Virginia. Usually a game a week,
Working out a bit after work,
Visiting museums with friends and discussing what our thoughts on history, the present and the future might be,
Dancing, (yes, I'm a white guy that can dance and loves to dance, haha), I enjoy dancing to anything but particularly enjoy Trance, Drum and Base, Deep House and Techno music.
Going to wine bars,
Playing ping pong,
Discussing current world events and personal lives with good friends at a nice bar.
I’m really good at
listening to others,
long conversations,
making people at ease around me,
joking around,
making others laugh with "crazy" comments,
cuddling, and I don't care who knows it,
imagining what might be,
laughing about my faults while trying to better myself,
helping others when they ask for help,
playing soccer and ping pong,
my job,
One thing I'm not good at is writing about myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
Sorry, but you'll have to ask other people meeting me for the first time.

Six things I could never do without
Food and Fresh Water,
Intelligent and imaginative discussions that go all night.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
World events,
How to make the world a better place for the most people as possible,
Morals and ideas from others and from books I read,
How the past can teach us about the best path for the future,
Will humanity chose to make access to fresh water a human right or make it a commodity in the market place? (That will define everything in the future)
On a typical Friday night I am
Lately Friday nights have been my break night after full week night outtings. But things I usually like to do on Friday nights are...
Dancing with a great woman,
Chillin' at a bar with friends,
At a sporting event or playing a sport,
Chatting with friends on my computer,
Going to a movie with friends.
Going on a weekend trip with friends or family to explore someplace I haven't been.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm open to sharing anything about myself, but only after I've met the other person.
You should message me if
In no particular order,
You think my profile is interesting,
You are the girl of my dreams, haha
You are unsure, but think I might be fun to talk to, please say hi,
You like going to DC United games,
You like dancing with a fun man, I'd really like you to say hi,
