My self-summary
Well, I've put this off long enough so here goes! I'm an Aussie girl who's been living in London for the past 8 years or so, though I did have a brief stint back in the motherland only to discover I couldn't leave London behind. There's far too much to do in this great city and most people would think I'm mad for giving up the sunshine and beaches. I work as an accountant but I don't fit the stereotype, in fact I'm pretty crap at maths! Music is more my thing. I play the piano and sax and like to sing too, although I'm not sure the people in my office appreciate it.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to make the most of everything London has to offer! I try to go to as many plays and musicals as I can, as well as the occasional festival with a fair amount of bar hopping thrown in. Nothing quite like a good cocktail and some good music to dance to!
I’m really good at
Putting on accents when I'm drunk, in fact I sometimes get requests. I'm not sure the accents are all that good..
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my red hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything by Paul Auster. I am slightly obsessed with him at the moment.
Movies: Office Space, Mallrats, The Skin I Live In.. I don't think I'm much of a movie buff to be honest.
Shows: Red Dwarf, The Office (UK version only!), Green Wing, Black Books, Flight of the Conchords, The Walking Dead. Massive fan of British comedy!
Music: Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Beck, Chili Peppers, The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, Beastie Boys, Jeff Buckley.
Food: Pizza, Thai, roast dinner, I love food! Except for seafood. That kind of food can stay in the sea.
The six things I could never do without
My family
Food. See above.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why people join this site to make friends. Isn't this a dating site?? Also why so many people like Justin Bieber. Are there really that many idiots in the world?
On a typical Friday night I am
Having a few cocktails at one of the many bars in London. Or chilling at home. Depends on how busy the week has been. But it always involves staying up late as I seem incapable of going to bed before midnight.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I tried to learn one of the New Kids on the Block dances for a joke at a work Christmas party. I must stress I was never a fan!
You should message me if
You think we may have some common interests. A great sense of humour is very important! Also if you don't feel the need to use text speak. I am currently in the process of outlawing 'lol' from common usage.
