My self-summary
My name's Jake and I'm a born and bred New Yorker who loves people, cultures, and languages. I feel most at home with a group of friends discussing current events or social issues, and try to seek people who enjoy the same. Continually learning, in general, keeps me going each day. Oh, and I like books, and food, and music, and cities, and breathing, and water, and walking.
What I’m doing with my life
Economic policy analyst...Calculating my way into City Hall (evil laugh).

Additionally, an aspiring writer. Currently working on a collection of short stories and a few poems.

Movies: Good Will Hunting, The Pianist, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale

Music: classic rock mostly. Hip hop a close second. Southern blues and Jazz

Food: I particularly like Asian and Latin style foods because I'm a big fan of rice.

Tv: Not a huge TV person...but I do enjoy House of Cards, Friends, Jeopardy, Seinfeld, The Good Wife
