My self-summary
Non hippie gypsie for half my life after leaving home at 17. Personally i identify most to my work ethic and non fear, non intimidation of any working man in any hard nosed industry.
What I’m doing with my life
After realizing I didn't really know enough to own and operate a quality tree service, i contacted the only certfied arborist in the county and asked if I could apprentice. Until now I have not loved going to work as much as I do currently.
I’m really good at
Making opportunities happen where it doesn't seem possible.
Being open and forthcoming.
Working til the job is finished without the typical luxuries required by so many "tough or hard men"
The first things people usually notice about me
My posture and how I smile and engage those who rarely expect the gesture from a stranger.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Count of Monte Cristo, Modoc, The Kite Runner and Pillars of the Earth. I like the Clint Eastwood directed movies and movies with a good story line. As for music, a Jazz blues mixture, some trip-hop. Ben Harper etc.
Six things I could never do without
The ability to work. Flip flops. The mountains with quality trees to climb and creeks to explore and meadows to camp in. A frisbee. A personal connection.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to relate solidly to people my own age.
When i see another tall person walk i wonder "Do i really look like that when i walk?"
Why i talk too much when i shouldn't and don't talk enough when i should.
The delicate balance between being efficient or being friendly.
On a typical Friday night I am
I have no pattern in life and days just run together. A Tuesday depending on the week could be the equivalent to your friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I dealt with depression since my earliest memories of life and when I finally got to the point where fear, excitement, planning and hope all ceased to exist I shelled out $600 for a Fisher Wallace device. That was March 2015 and I haven't experienced self loathing in the last 21 months.
You should message me if
you ever plan on coming to Ouray and want to know someone before you get here. I may not be your match but I am pretty skilled in the ability to find like minded people for any interest or adventure. From mushroom hunting to plane engineering. Its my greatest pleasure.
