My self-summary
Oh dear, where do I even start? This will be a bit rambling.

I'm a mid-twenties white male. College education but did not graduate for a variety of reasons (much to my shame / displeasure). I intend to finish someday. Rather nerdy but significant exposure to plenty of other aspects of life. I enjoy walking and hiking. I've done a decent amount of traveling with my family and I would like to take a trip around the world at least once. Complete crap at languages though. I have no problem understanding new grammar systems but I can't retain enough vocabulary.

I love reading. If you know any good books let me know and I will check them out!

I'm a quiet person by nature, so I'm not very good at meeting new people without some sort of introduction first. But I think I can hold a solid conversation and I get along with just about anyone. I almost never get offended or truly angry.

I am not particularly religious.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to figure out what I want to do with my life!

More seriously though, at the moment I'm working a crappy job to pay the rent (valet for a pair of restaurants if you're curious). But that's just something to cover expenses. A group of friends and I have colluded to see if we can bash our heads together enough to design, have printed, and distribute a board game.

We have an actual completed game, which is awesome, but that whole publishing / distribution thing is kind of a head-scratcher.

I've also decided I don't get out enough, so I'm looking for someone who will encourage me (read: forcibly drag) me out to things I've never done before or have not done for a long time.
I’m really good at
Math, and by extension anything based on math. Numbers are cool! Triangles, on the other hand, are devious creatures that are not to be trusted.

Also, origami.
The first things people usually notice about me
I haven't the faintest idea. Although I've had many accuse me of having supernatural resistance to cold.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Terry Pratchett is far and away my favorite author. Also Transmetropolitan, by Warren Ellis, is amazing.

I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like Burn Notice once they start watching it. And a million bonus points to anyone who has seen the movie Pentagon Wars.

Unfortunately I am an uncultured savage when it comes to music.
The six things I could never do without
Paper & Pencil
uh, since I assume that the basic requirements for survival like food and water don't count I'll get back to you
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I actually really like philosophy and am very interested in discussions of free will. I didn't take any courses on philosophy though since "philosopher" isn't really a career option like it was way back in the day, so I'm not formally trained or whatever you want to call it.

I also find religious discussion interesting, although this doesn't come up very often because it's such a delicate topic. I'd probably like political discussion as well, but I don't know enough of the current political landscape to really have any sort of opinion.

On the lighter side I have a few games that I'm really into and could totally nerd out on if you express interest in them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working, unfortunately. But if I wasn't I'd probably be hanging out with friends. We might go out to dinner, but more likely to stay home and play board games or watch movies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a small stuffed panda bear that is older than I am and I have had my entire life. He knows kung fu and uses it to fight off nightmare demons.
You should message me if
you like being nerdy about something, have something really cool you want to share, or just want to ask me something!
