My self-summary
I'm pretty uncomplicated. Good friends + good food + good music = good times.

I'm a delivery driver by day and a videographer/stand-up comedian by night. I still coach high school and semi-pro sports. I'm not a total party boy, but we will have fun together.

I'm no rocket scientist, but I'm not even close to being the dullest tool in the shed, either. I always have a smile on my face and enjoy great times with friends new and old.

Every so often, I like to throw some stuff in the back of my truck and go on road trips to nowhere in particular (no set plans, just $ in my pocket, a Coleman stove, camping gear, and clothes). Exploring is good for the soul. Next time I go, I'd like to have someone riding along.

I am a member of the Couch Surfing Movement (a worldwide social network for travelers). As a member of this movement, I can go anywhere and hang with interestinng people no matter where it is. I also offer assistance, advice, and the occasional tour of the area to out-of-town visitors. You meet all sorts of fascinating people that way! Eventual goals are trips to Japan, Sweden, and wherever I can think of going.

In case you're an astrology buff:
I was born on the "cusp" of Scorpio and Sagittarius (three minutes to midnight on November 22nd). This site doesn't allow for that kind of info.

Yes, I can cook. Maybe if you ask real nice, I'll fix up some of my boneless grilled chicken or a spot of my chili or jambalaya. Who knows? We may even go to a Couch Surfing potluck. Those are always a blast.

I am unconventional, intense, and passionate
What I’m doing with my life
In 2015, I came out of football retirement for a game or two with the Michigan Lightning in Dearborn (also part of the "brain-trust"). I played for the thrill of it. I also coach/film high school sports. It's great to have a legion of teenagers that worship you. Helping these kids reach their potential is a huge part of my life.

UPDATE (8-28-2016):
I lost 80+ pounds total since last May. Going whole grain has really turned me around for the better. If you want to stuff yourself and get skinny doing it, I'll show you how!

The past few years have been fairly productive with video projects, helping visitors to Detroit through Couch Surfing, and video work. Winter is usually my ultra-busy season, but I'm always down to hang out when I can.

I just started a new job as a delivery driver. On top of that, I hold CompTIA A+ certification and PC Pro Certification. If you know anyone with a computer repair shop situation, and is looking for an extra hand, throw 'em my way.

Also opened a few comedy shows for my mentor when he headlined at Big Tommy's. Aiming to become a paid "feature" in 2017. I'm getting closer to this goal all the time.

The first things people usually notice about me
my brawny physique, and my sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(Just to name a few)
Eat to Win: The Sports Nutrition Bible, Wicked French for the Traveler by Howard Tomb, You Can Run, But You Can't Hide by Dog Chapman, Hitless Wonder by Joe Oestreich (I'm actually mentioned by name in that last one!) Whenever Rotary Scouts Fall In Line (a book about the Scout Camp at which I worked in Clare)

National Lampoon's Animal House, Wayne's World, Wayne's World 2, Austin Powers series, The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Clue, The Replacements, old Marx Bros. and Three Stooges flix. Just about anything comedy. Also a huge Tarantino fan.

It depends on my mood. One day, I'll be listening to blues, the next day, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Motorhead, the day after that might be Louis Prima, John Mellencamp, the list goes on...

Bob Seger, Stevie Ray Vaughan, KISS, Ted Nugent, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, old-school Metallica (before they got rid of Jason Newstead), The Ramones, Iggy Pop, MC5, Aerosmith, AC/DC, small acts like Watershed out of Columbus, Ohio, Overloaded out of Detroit, Broadzilla (local), lots of local stuff.
Six things I could never do without
*My camcorder
*My computer
*My phone
*My bowling ball ("I don't bowl to feel bad... I bowl bad but feel good.")
*My truck
*The knowledge I gained from my time in Scouts (I'm an Eagle)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no "typical" Friday night for me. It's always different. However...

Working, shooting game footage for my coaching staff (football in Fall, basketball and hockey in Winter), going out to see performances of bands that I'm friends with, comedy clubs, middle eastern restaurants, or theater. Occasionally, I'll be giving a "surfer" a night tour.

During weekends, I'm usually filming or (dabbling in) acting as a non-skating official for roller derby bouts. The third Sunday of every month is the Detroit CS Club's monthly potluck, although I've put those on the back burner in favor of comedy class/open mic nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a picture of blues legend, John Lee Hooker, hanging on my bedroom wall.
You should message me if
You should message me if you're looking to increase the amount of fun you have in life. I can get pretty creative.

It depends on the night. Tigers Games, Torch With a Twist variety show, karaoke, comedy, or a live band. The activity doesn't matter as much as my company. I love getting out to new out of the way spots, maybe you could show me yours....or we could get really creative and go to A2 for some people watching. The possibilities are endless with the right people.

I come with a 30-minute guarantee. If you're not satisfied within 30 minutes of talking to me, you can go back to the boring douchebags you were dealing with before. But remember, it's a limited time offer.

Life's a journey. Don't miss the bus. ;)
