I'm not what I would consider a materalistic person, but I do believe in having the best when I can afford it, and not spending more than what's within my means....(comes from growing up poor and raising above it thru education and hard-work.)
I've been told more than once that I'm diffently a "city boy", but I'm just as a comfortable camping out in the woods for a few days as I am hanging out downtown with friends.
I consider myself a decent, well-traveled, law-abiding, educated, stable guy with above-average intelligence and thankfully, a good dose of common-sense.
At the end of the day.....I think I'm looking for the same thing everyone else is, to be loved as much as I love, and being an affectionate person, that tends to get me walked on more than I care for, because I'm the kind of person who will give the shirt off his back to make sure his signicant other, his family, and his friends are safe and taken care of.
In short, I consider myself to be one of the few "nice guys" left.
And apparently being lead on by women who can't make up their damn minds about what they want....or just want to have their cake and eat it too.
But as they say, hindsight is always better than foresight.
Movies: Almost anything....from drama to action to sci-fi to comedy....just nothing too horrificly cheesy....love going to the movies for a good first-run flic as well as renting some dvd's and relaxing under a warm blanket on the couch on a rainy sunday afternoon....prefereably with a friend ;)
Shows: 80's TV shows, Animated (southpark/family guy/adult swim), Modern Marvels, Top-Gear
Music: Mostly 60's to current, classic rock, alternative, electronic....tolerant of country and rap, but not my first choice.
Food: I have a multitude of tastes, but I LOVE a good home-cooked Italian meal.....pizza, taco-bell and subway works fine too. I try to eat healthy when possible, but I've learned the food that's considered "bad" for you tends to taste the best.
2. A stick to beat the women off of me who are only interested in what I can do for them after they find out what my financial position is and what I do for a living.
3. My cellphone (it's my lifeline to my family and friends, as well as my clients, which is what keeps the bills paid)
4. Comfortable shoes
5. A clean home and warm bed that doesn't kill my back.
6. An ice-cold Mountain Dew (I'm in IT, so it's kind of a requirement, lol)
Why I didn't listen to my gut instincts 7 years ago....but love makes you do stupid things.
Update: I've found the bar scene is great for finding women who either like to drink too much or have an ego to feed....and going by yourself just plain sucks, espc when most of your friends are still married or are the assinine idiots that give guys like me a bad name.
