My self-summary
Hi there,

I'm a very nice, very nerdy/geeky guy (ask me Star Trek questions, and I'll most likely have the answer), who's looking for a girl who I can love, and who will love me in return. I like to put garlic on my ice cream (especially Cookies 'N' Creme. Don't knock it, til you've tried it), watching anime, and being a nerd/geek/dork (dork is not a bad thing, I've learned). My main pastimes are playing video games, taking pictures, and seeing movies.

Here are 4 key bullet points about me: I am...

-Christian (Lutheran)

-Funny (Working on a joke book)

-Republican (Conservative)

-Chivalrous (It's not dead)
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I'm working in retail.

I'm trying to get into freelance photography. I've got some experience in that area (see next paragraph), and I want to expand on that.

I'm also the webmaster for my church's website, and one of the admins for its Facebook page. I'm also the official photographer/video-maker for my church.
I’m really good at
Planning stuff out before I do it (sometimes over-planning in the process).

Staying up later than I should.

Photography, as I mentioned earlier!

"Fast food" jokes/puns. In other words, jokes/puns rapidly made on the spot.
Q: Why do stomachs do stand-up comedy right before the end of their lives?
A: They want to die jesting).

Deadpan humor.

Using Photoshop

PC and video games (I LOVE Borderlands 2, and Kerbal Space Program).

Flight Simulator. Hands-down, this is the game that I'm best at. I've flown around the world once, and I'm almost done with the second trip.
The first things people usually notice about me
How tall I am. Sometimes, they ask if I play basketball. My response is "Only in video games".

My age (they're surprised that I'm older than I look).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
4 favorite books:
"2001: A Space Odyssey" by Arthur C. Clarke.

"'Salem's Lot" by Stephen King.

"Flight of the Old Dog" by Dale Brown.

"The War of the Worlds" (read by Leonard Nimoy), by H.G. Wells (I had that on cassette tape MANY years ago, and would just keep listening to it over, and over, and over...)

6 favorite movies (Gosh, this is was 4 movies, but I'm adding 2):
"Transformers" (2007)

"Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" (1982)

"Monty Python and the Holy Grail" (1975)

"The Shining" (1980)

"Frozen" (2013)

"Doctor Who" (BBC America)

"Babylon 5" (I have the whole series on DVD!)

"Battlestar Galactica" (This is also all on DVD)

4 favorite musical groups (This one is also very tough...):

AC/DC (They ROCK. 'Nuff said)

Chuck Berry ("Johnny B. Goode")

Journey ("Don't Stop Believin'", and "Separate Ways" are my favorites from them)

4 favorite foods:

Velveeta Shells and Cheese

Hamburger stroganoff
The six things I could never do without
1. God

3. My car

4. My cameras!

5. Air

6. A computer (with Photoshop on it!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether what I'm doing is what God wants me to do.

Where to go to take some good pictures (I'd love to go back to the Wilkes Street Tunnel, in Old Town, Alexandria).

New jokes for my joke book I'm trying to make.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home, in bed at 10pm. Wednesdays and Sundays are my normal "weekend".
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If it's private, it's not going on here.
You should message me if
You're a girl who's looking for a kind, decent, respectful, honest, Lutheran guy who has a sense of humor that will make you groan and laugh, in that order.

You like photography/Photoshop, or if you want to learn.

You like books, movies, and video games (Not a requirement, but bonus points if you do!)

You want to.
