My self-summary
I recently had to hit the "reset" button and move from my hometown, Austin, to San Antonio. It has been simultaneously scary, exciting, baffling, intriguing...but most of all exhilarating. The move has breathed new life into my soul. I am quick to smile, then to laugh, shake a hand and give a hug, talk your ear off and then listen intently. I believe that friendship comes before love and that takes time more than anything.
What I’m doing with my life
I was a real estate developer in Austin in the private sector. I came to San Antonio doing essentially the same thing but for a public entity. I get alot more smiles here.
I’m really good at
meeting new people and getting them to feel comfortable.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile (with a dimple or two)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Unbroken, The Idealist, The Death and Life of American Cities, Alexander Hamilton, The Blessing; Movies: Endless Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Hoosiers, Take Me Home, Everyman's War; Shows: Not much TV; Music: Mumford, Led Zeppelin, George Strait, Classical Piano, The Band, Otis Redding; Food: New American Cuisine, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, and some sushi.
Six things I could never do without
Kisses from my pup, Bruno
Significant conversations
Long runs or walks
A sense of the other person
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how to make San Antonio be a place where there is life between the buildings.
On a typical Friday night I am
resting up for a long run on Saturday morning. You should ask me what I do on a typical Saturday night ;)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am sensitive to ageists. They are just like people who are racists, or homophobes or intolerant of other faiths. They have a blind spot for anyone over a certain age. Their loss.
You should message me if
you would like to around someone who is happy, secure and inspired by the life he is leading.
