My self-summary
My self-summary boils down to, if you like dogs - labradors in particular - then we'd get along fine.
What I’m doing with my life
What I'm doing with my life? Not enough! Which is why I am here. I work, walk my dog (lots), watch TV, eat, sleep, read, play the occasional computer game, browse the web. At the weekends do more of the same (except work), maybe with a pub and a game of pool thrown in.
I’m really good at
- wiring a plug. Hmm, probably not what this section is about. Umm, I don't know really - listening maybe, quoting old Simpsons episodes, keeping any secrets I've been told.
The first things people usually notice about me
- whatever it is, they haven't told me! Probably that I'm shy, I guess.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books / authors: Terry Pratchett, Iain M Banks, Asimov, A Wizard of Earthsea (Ursula le Guin), most SF / Fantasy, but I'll read almost anything. Currently trying to read Cien Anos de Solidad en espanol.

Movies - LOTR, Mel Brooks films, John Hughes films (Ferris Buellers day off), Laurel and Hardy, Tarantino, Up!, The Ladykillers (original), Shawshank, Spirited Away, Aliens. Oh, and Star Wars!

Music - anything except jazz, rap, and REALLY heavy metal. ZZ Top rock :-) U2, INXS, Aerosmith, some Metallica (Sandman), Aguilera, Adam Ant, Queen, most 80's classics, Mozart, Vivaldi.
Try this:

Food - no pasta! Indian is good (not TOO hot), but mostly eat traditional english food - chicken, lamb, rice, potatos, vegetables, gravy... mmmm gravy

TV - Game of Thrones.

Also - Simpsons (the earlier series), Family Guy, The Big Bang Theory, Battlestar Galactica, Boston Legal, Seinfeld, Frasier, 2 1/2 Men, Futurama, QI, Smallville, Castle, Better off Ted. Oh, and Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Trek, Chart Show TV and The Vault (365 / 366 on Sky).
The six things I could never do without
Wow, these are hard questions.

In no particular order, the six things I could never do without:
1. My dog, ahhh. :-)
2. Family and friends
3. The strong and weak nuclear forces
4. Computers and the internet
5. A car!
6. My list of 10 things I also can't do without, which FYI are below :-)

1. Sunlit windy cold spring days. Or Stella Artois.
2. Cartoons!(Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama etc.)
3. Gravity
4. m-theory 11 dimensional space
5. Rubik's cube
6. TV
7. those biscuits, you know the ones? chocolate, with mint, in a green tin foil wrapping. Oh, wait, no, haven't seen any for a while. Ignore this one.
8. Paperclips
9. Oak trees
10. My list of 100 things I can't do without - ah, no room here - email me!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
When the next series of The Universe will be on Sky, to explain how all of the elements heavier than lead come from supernovae.

Why you need to turn nail scissors back-to-front to cut your nails on your left hand.
On a typical Friday night I am
In, not out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Scrolled down this far?
OK, I missed an n above
Other than that, sorry, not admitting anything here!
You should message me if
... you've seen the Disney Pixar film "Up!", and laughed and cried.

... and you have room for someone in your life.
