I had/have aspirations of becoming a Screenwriter and even took a course to pursue this at Bournemouth University though I never really adjusted to the new surroundings and ended up dropping out. I still harbour a passion for film and for writing and if nothing else hope to continue crafting stories as a cathartic means of self expression, though I realised from the beginning that it's not exactly a realistic career path to pursue and treat it more as a hobby whilst I look for work. I'm currently working on a temporary contract basis and studying AAT. I live with my parents and don't really have any major plans for the future but if I can find something to keep myself busy and earn some money in the process, that'll be grand for the here and now.
I'm probably not in the best position to give an accurate appraisal of myself, so the best way to get to know about me is just to talk to me. I won't bite. Chewing through a liquid screen is kind of tricky.
TV Shows: The Wire, The Sopranos, Mad Men, Peep Show, Scrubs, The Thick of It, South Park, The Simpsons (up until about 2003 or so), The Inbetweeners, Gavin and Stacey, The Office, The Ricky Gervais Show, Lead Balloon, The Boondocks, Breaking Bad, Bojack Horseman, Life On Mars, Daria, Dilbert, 8 Out of Ten Cats, QI, Match of the Day, Lucky Star, Giant Killing, The Critic, Dan Vs, Archer, Home Movies, Metalocalypse, Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen Hunger Force etc.
Film: I like films by Martin Scorsese, Edgar Wright, Quentin Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, Park Chan-Wook, Danny Boyle and Christopher Nolan among others.
I like to play video games, though I've been a little sporadic about it in recent years, so I've built up something of a backlog and I'm not really up to date with current releases. That said, some of my favourite series include Half-Life, Portal, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid, GTA and Assassins Creed.
Most of the music I listen to would fall under Metal/Rock, though as trite as it is to say, I like a little bit of everything. I'm always open to discovering new acts/genres and I would consider myself something of an eclectic in this regard. Variety is the spice of life and whatnot. Take a gander at my last.fm page if you want to get an idea of the kind of things I'm into:
Comedians: Louis CK, Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Charlie Brooker, Mitchell and Webb, Russel Howard, Ricky Gervais, Reg D Hunter, Jack Whitehall, Jack Dee, Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr, Jon Richardson, Dara O'Brien, Lee Evans etc.
