My self-summary
Hi! I moved to Atlanta suddenly for a new job. So far I have a bike and have figured out where food is; please help me out with the rest, strangers of Atlanta.
What I’m doing with my life
Recently begun working as an Environmental Engineer. Still in the training process so I've had to zero productive work -- hopefully the environment can hold on a couple more weeks.

After I finish the moving process I'll be reclaiming my hobbies of cooking, gardening, and planning classy crimes. I've been doing a lot of open courses on edx and coursera. Anyone else do those? I've never met anyone else that have actually finished one.
I’m really good at
Moving places where I know zero people and have never been to before.
Cooking from scratch.
Moving large rocks; related skill: writing resumes that parlay my rock moving experience into marketable job skills. (quote during interview on the importance of teamwork: "...because some rocks are just too big to move by yourself" Ha. Didn't get that job.)
biking/walking/hiking for long lengths of time.
Probably other things.
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
G.K. Chesterton, Haruki Murakami, David Sedaris, Hunter S Thompson, James Baldwin, Dostoevsky, F. Scott Fitzgerald.

kate beaton comics, SMBC.

Criminal, The Bugle, Skeptic's Guide, Oh no Ross and Carrie

30 rock, the simpsons, futurama, arrested development, adventure time, cosmos, unbreakable, bojack horseman, archer, and parks and rec.

The best music is music made with friends, but here are some bands who I wish were my friends/not dead from heroin overdoses: Queen, Broken Social scene (and feist (and stars)), Devil makes three, bad religion, Ani difranco, thin lizzy, modest mouse, iron maiden, death, megadeth, red knife lottery, nick drake, charles mingus, nomeansno, thought industry, ornette coleman, sigur ros, neko case, neutral milk hotel, the replacements, talking heads, gogol bordello.

I love southeast Asian and Indian food. I also have a deep and abiding love of noodles. I don't care if you aren't vegan; I do care if you would like to make and eat pie with me.
Six things I could never do without
1. Brain in a vat
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Did I lose my keys?
No, they're there. Thank goodness.
and society!
Everything else.
Did I lose my keys?
No, they're still there. Fantastic.
Processing the sheer horror caused by recent events.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can't whistle despite earnestly trying to learn several times; I know what shame literally sounds like.
You should message me if
You want a friend type person who likes doing new thing and is named Joe. Either-or, really.
Bike rides!
You are millionaire hovercraft owner. Sorry if that is shallow, but if it works then I'm not really.
You like to cook or grow food with people.
You consider me people.
Reverse psychology. what?
You kind of want to, but just don't feel like it. We could talk that and other things we are ambivalent about. That might or might not be nice.
You have other reasons which are supernatural in origin.
If you are a spambot.
The two of us
