My self-summary
I do improv sometimes, it's fun and I do spartan runs on occasion, they're less fun but rewarding in a weird way. In also love Star Trek, not in a weird way...maybe, I don't know.

I graduated from NIU a few years ago and I work as a copywriter at a digital marketing agency. I've won some awards and such so it's going pretty well. I write articles for different online magazines on occasion, some artsy stuff for some lit mags and some things that are more business like. I'm working on making the artsy writing a career. It's not easy but nothing worth having is.

I think Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk is the best leftover cereal milk. Peanut Butter Cap'N Crunch is also very good. Also people who don't drink the milk after eating the cereal are weird. And yes I do eat cereal for dinner sometimes. #pleasedon'ttellmymother

I haven't learned much in life (thanks a lot, NIU degree) but I think I've learned this much. Go for things, anything you perceive to be out of your league.

I just finished a 10 mile obstacle course through the mud and over walls. It was miserable while it was happening but I'm glad I did it.

Outside of a dog I'd say a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's just too dark to read.....if you think that joke is funny you just might be my dream girl.
What I’m doing with my life
trying my best.
I’m really good at
filling awkward silences...getting old people to fist bump.
The first things people usually notice about me
I dunno. It's hard to answer this without sounding cocky and people tell me I do that anyway so I'm going to let this question go.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
White Noise by Don Delillo is my favorite book, pretty much anything by Philip Roth and I try and keep up with marvel and dc comics stuff but I don't read that regularly anymore. As far as the classics go I love Brideshead Revisited and The Call of The Wild by Jack London.

I really love old movies. I'll watch anything with Cary Grant and Humphrey Bogart. I'll watch anything from the 30s to the 60s but I love new stuff too. I really liked The Avengers and I love the movies Cool Runnings, High Fidelity, and Superbad. And I think Hook is an american classic and I'll have words with anyone who says otherwise. Superman is probably my all time favorite movie, the Christopher Reeve version, not the crappy recent flick.

I love the West Wing and Sports Night, I haven't seen Newsroom yet but I plan on it. I like New Girl because Nick Miller is kind of my spirit animal. I still watch M.A.S.H whenever it's on TV. I also just started watching Happy Endings and it's pretty good.

I've recently started listening to Chvrches and they're pretty great. Springsteen, Dylan, U2, Collin Hay, are my favs.

I love Indian Food and I eat pretty much anything except leftovers but that doesn't come up often.
The six things I could never do without
Netflix
Weekends Sleeping in
Diet Ginger Ale
My Phone
Lungs,
Heart
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Food, love, life, etc but mostly the food thing. Does anybody have a cookie?

Also I find the cakes with people's faces on them kinda creepy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Grabbing a beer, seeing a flick...or just the beer thing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I still really really love milk and cookies especially thin mints.

I also kind of enjoy going to bookstores and covering up books on display written by politicians with random sci-fi books.

I still don't know what YOLO means.

I kind of think Batman is boring.

I love the early 90s Disney animated show The Gummi Bears, if you remember that theme song, that's some points right there.
You should message me if
you want to, no pressure. But if you recognize the old man in that one picture of mine that's really cool.

...if you never apologize for dancing silly.

Also if you like Nickelback we might have some issues. Not saying that's a dealbreaker but...
