My self-summary
I tend to overthink things so I'm just gonna brain-dump some necessary facts. I was born in LA and moved to Chicago six years ago. I took a circuitous route through college dabbling in a variety of majors including English, Business, and media studies before graduating with a degree in marketing (it's whatever).

Despite dropping the English major, I still love words. Currently trying to work 'detritus' into everyday speech.

I like live music and my dog and podcasts.

Let's be super modern together.
What I’m doing with my life
Working a 9-5 and hosting a podcast

I don't meditate but I do enjoy meditative activities like exercise, laundry, and dishes. I'm heckuva tidy.

Try to go shows as often as possible to stem the tide of curmudgeonlyness that will no doubt overtake me any day now.
I’m really good at
Being funny or at least thinking I'm being funny

Listening

Writing I guess? This is still unproven in any worthy capacity but I dig some of my stuff
The first things people usually notice about me
Not a fuckboi
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music and games are two of my favorite things in the world especially when they have something to say and do so in interesting ways. Thus, I spend a lot of time thinking about the social importance and implications of games, albums, songs, etc.

Music is massively important to me which is why as a 31 year old I still keep up with what's new and exciting. Perennial favorites include (but are not limited to) Sleater-Kinney, Against Me!, Fugazi, ATCQ, and many others that aren’t coming to mind right now.

Gaming is a littler harder to talk about since this is the internet and your perception of gaming culture at large probably involves gamers and gates so why don’t we just say I subscribe to Feminist Frequency and call it a day?

I also love film but it’s a casual obsession. I work parallel to the industry so I’m pretty immersed in it but rarely get out to see movies anymore.
The six things I could never do without
The smell of fresh rain on pavement

The smell of morning

The smell of dry erase markers

The smell of paint sprayed into a paper bag

The smell of high octane gasoline in a small tankard

Oop I've blacked out
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Podcast or music?

Where the hell is this bus at?

Is that person judging me? I should probably judge them just in case.

Space is cool

The ocean is amazing and fucking terrifying
You should message me if
the mood strikes you.
