My self-summary
Hi! I'm Julian. You're...whoever you are. Feel free to browse around for a second and let me know if you have any questions. I'm just here to help you find the Julian that's right for you.

While you're looking, you might read over this helpful pamphlet that describes how Julian is an introverted extrovert who loves dogs, strong black coffee, and lots of things that fall under the general categorization of "nerdy", despite resenting the implications of the term. Make sure to note that he is a sparkling conversationalist with an incisive and wry sense of humor, who likes to skip the bullshit to try and get to know the core of what makes someone tick.

If there's one thing to walk away with from you visit to this virtual space it's that Julian is a kind and caring person who would be grateful to get to know you provided you're not a psycho killer, qu'est-ce que c'est.

*DISCLAIMER* I recently abandoned my facial hair and don't have any good pictures of me sans beard. RIP my beard, 2014-2016
What I’m doing with my life
I have a job in the field that I studied in college which has to be some sort of karmic coup for a milleneal who's career ambition as of two years ago was, "create".

More importantly, I produce/host/engineer a podcast with two of my friends and it's the best and no, you should definitely not listen to it.
I’m really good at
Humor jokes

Impulsive decision making

Playlist curation

Hot takes

I will sing for you songs from The Walkmen. It won't be great and you might hate it but it'll happen probably.
The first things people usually notice about me
Not a fuqboi
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some perennial favorites include The Simpsons, Party Down, The Office, Paul Thomas Anderson (except Inherent Vice...what a mess), Japanese New Wave films, quirky indie games, The Last of Us, Sleater-Kinney, Fugazi, Wolf Parade, Ernest Hemingway, Haruki Murakami, Brian K. Vaughn to name a few.

Lately I've been reading a lot of cultural history and sociology books, watching You're the Worst, Stranger Things, and Fargo.

I like food, food tastes good.
The six things I could never do without

Sleeping on public transportation

Fake mustaches

Validation through social media

Recreational snap judgement
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why is that person shouting?

Is this a bit?

Do I smell bad meat or good cheese?

I shouldn't have done that.
You should message me if
Staying up late doing silly things on Saturday then brunch and a highly productive Sunday.

By all means, fire away.
