My self-summary
So, who am I? I'm a guy with some pretty strong and interesting convictions. I've lived a few different lives: an orthodox Jew, a blue collar paramedic in NYC, an activist and now an herbalist and a farmer, building up an an educational farm to teach ethical and sustainable medicines and healing food cultivation to our current and future generations.

In other words, I have a fantastic background story that led me to being a farmer at this age. The experiences I have had will last with me forever, and have turned me into a much more compassionate human being. I believe in fighting for what is right, and I want this world to just learn how much easier it is to love than to hate.

Politics are pretty important to me, I'm not sure I can hold up to someone who isn't interested in radical politics, or at least willing to learn about it. Overall, I think most would consider me to be far left of a liberal, most likely leftist, and pretty vocal about it. I love political discussion, how else can I learn what others believe and why they believe what they believe?

I love hanging out, although I am admittedly not much of a drinker. That being said, I find it hard to turn down a Malbec or a fruity margarita.

At the end of the day, I find myself being drawn towards the simpler pleasures of life. Lastly, I love nature, I cannot get enough of it. I hope you are into nature (at least a little).
What I’m doing with my life
Starting up a permaculture farm, researching and building new innovative methods to affect society by way of agriculture.
I’m really good at
Before I left my EMS career, I was the youngest person in FDNY's history to complete the training program for the unit I was on. So I guess at those skills??

Also, I can fix many things and give some natural medicine advice. Additionally, I can make a spicy cabbage soup that will turn a cabbage hater into a cabbage lover. I have converted many folk to the wonders of my cabbage soup.

Finding excuses to soak in a hot spring, hot tub or bath.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've got a fantastic head for #1) wearing hats and #2) for being bald. I've been told I carry the best features that all bald people could hope for. 3) my service dog. 4) probably in NY it will be the hat and boots.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite book series (yes I am a bit of a nerd at heart) The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. But my favorite individual books are Mutual Aid - Kropotkin, The Rebel - Camus, I have a library filled with radical books, healing books and natural medicines. Lately I've not had much time to read anything except non-fiction.

I used to watch movies often and TV often, but I've been cutting down tremendously. So I guess I don't have a favorite movie, although I love slapstick comedies. TV shows, I am addicted to Community, but other than that, most shows I can take or leave.

Music...not enough space or time to rant on my music tastes. I like variations of rock, my favorite band of all time, hands down is Dispatch. I Listen to an inordinate amount of bluegrass, and I am not ashamed to admit I like new country when I'm driving, especially long distance, but it is not a requirement.

Food...I'm a picky eater - by necessity, not by taste, I wish I could eat everything I do miss cheese and noodle concoctions of all types. But I am supremely healthier on this gut healing diet I took on so I can remain off of pharmaceuticals.
Six things I could never do without
Sage - my four legged best bud
Music (of the types I prefer)
Time to connect with plants.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can apply what I have learnt with what I am learning and make this world a little better.

Also what I'm having for my next meal is usually on my mind.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well, I just delivered my friend's baby on a Friday night/Saturday morning before light. I'd love to make that a regular thing - but honestly I'm usually being a dork and playing dungeon's and dragons with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I secretly will feel as if I've truly made it when I have some land with a decent herbal medicine farm/garden on it, and a horse to ride on the land with my two dogs frolicking in the grasses and trees.
You should message me if
you find me interesting and wish to chat. I can't imagine why else you'd message me. I am a non-traditional guy. I don't care who messages first, but I can be a little shy with sending out emails. So, feel free to message me. Even if you aren't interested in a date but think I'd be a cool friend, that's all good too. Hoping to hear from you!

Also, if you are going to send a tiny one sentence message...please reconsider. I want to know that the person I meet, and may be a partner of mine, will put in the effort. Hope y'all understand.
