My self-summary
Ugh. I hate doing these little "about me" type sections. I never know what to say. I'm just the average 22 year old I guess. I have brown hair (obviously =]). I'm 5'6" and about 130 pounds. Most importantly, my name's Kelsey.

I have a ton of pet peeves. I can't help it. Cussing every 5 seconds is one of them, so if you do that...well, it's not going to go so great. I also can't stand terrible grammar. Don't message me sounding like you're texting, "wat r u doin," for example. >_> It's just plain annoying. I have a college degree and don't have time for that. Just being honest. The list goes on.
What I’m doing with my life
I just graduated from college with a B.A. in Psychology. Before you assume that that means I'm going to be talking to crazy people the rest of my life (like the rest of the world does), let me explain differently. I hope to go into some kind of research. I'm currently looking into a few research assistant positions in the Atlanta area, and after working for a year, I plan on applying to a few grad school programs to hopefully do research with Prader-Willi syndrome (if you don't know what that is, then Google it because it's pretty interesting in my opinion) or at least in a neuroscience program.
I’m really good at
being awkward haha. I never know the right things to say to new people so you really have to work with me on it. :) I guess you could say I'm good at Mario games...yeah, I'm a little nerdy. I'm also great at volleyball =] Other than that, not much talent to speak of.
I have heard that I'm pretty decent at intimidating people. I guess because I don't tend to give off a super friendly vibe right off the bat, since I'm awkward and all. I actually have had a girl in a past class tell me that I'm intimidatingly smart, but I'm not so sure that my "smartness" always shows ha.
The first things people usually notice about me
Most people will usually either ask me why I'm so quiet or why I never smile. I tend to be quiet, because like I said, I'm NOT good around people I don't know. I'm socially retarded. And, I'm not the type who just smiles for no reason. I just don't work that way. It doesn't mean that I'm not happy though, so don't make assumptions!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books...gosh. I have a TON of favorites. I personally own a good 40 or 50 books (I never actually counted them). I could list some of my favorite series (and don't hate, a lot of them will be found in the kid's section in a book store haha):
Harry Potter 1-7!!!!!
The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind
the Shannara series by Terry Brooks
the Landover series by Terry Brooks
the Dragon Lance books by Maragaret Weis, Tracy Hickman, and other assorted authors
the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer

I really like action and fantasy movies...and of course, the occasional romantic comedy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and movies like that. I also like the Batman movies (the newer ones), A Walk to Remember, A Knight's Tale, V for Vendetta, The Tourist, and more.
Speaking of LOTR, who's excited about the all of Hobbit parts? *raises hand* Aaaand, let's not forget the new Star Wars movie...for 2015. Ugh.

My favorite shows are:
Raising Hope
New Girl
Once Upon a Time
What Not to Wear
Gilmore Girls
Gossip Girl
Cake Boss
Man v. Food
Chowder (the greatest cartoon that the world has ever known)
Sailor Moon (sad they don't make them anymore!)
Hart of Dixie
Vampire Diaries (this isn't to say it's a favorite-since I said I would never watch it-, but I have to be honest and say that I gave in and watched it. and I keep being drawn back in. probably because of the hotness of one of the main characters. sorry, but I couldn't help it)

Don't get me started about music. I have a ton of bands I like. I mostly listen to different types of rock music, but I also like the occasional rap song, some country, some classical, and some R&B. I used to say that I would list some bands, but I don't really have the motivation for that. Meh.
And speaking of music, I semi play the piano, as in I can read sheet music and play up to the level where I quit haha. I took lessons for years but gave it up after being told I was expected to practice a grand total of 1 to 2 songs 3 hours a day...not songs that I liked, but the lame ones that come with piano lesson books.

Some of my favorite restaurants include Olive Garden, Chef Lee's II, and Dynasty, but it's not as if I'm a cuisine expert or anything. I also love fried deer. I'm a sucker for a good steak. My favorite fish is tilapia. If you ever want to take me to Red Lobster, Olive Garden, or Chef Lee's II in Columbus, then you'll be my hero. =]
The six things I could never do without
Pets. Specifically my puppy Felix.
My mind.
Chinese&Italian food.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
money. will I have enough to pay for school and loans? what about to get an apartment?

grad school. will I get in? will I fail out?

jobs. will I get a decent one? will I get a good-paying one? will it contribute to my academic progress?

Looking at these, I find that I tend to think about a lot of depressing things!
On a typical Friday night I am
well...I've got to admit that I have no kind of social life, as depressing as that sounds. So, I'm usually just hanging around the house reading, playing video games, stressing over things, etc. Or, if I'm really lucky, hanging out with friends. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a douche. I'm that friend that will tell you how it is instead of telling you what you want to hear, sometimes to the point of hurting feelings which is unfortunate but sometimes necessary.

I'm not very judgmental when it comes to just seeing someone for the first time, but I do tend to be if a person is overweight and dresses in a way that implies that they think they're 100 pounds. :/ It's a fault, I know. I just think that exercise is free, so umm let's keep our bodies not looking gross.

Also, I have a thing against redneck/"country boys". So, if your way of describing yourself is by saying that you're just a "country boy", then it would probably be best not to message me. I don't do the whole beer, dip, cussing left and right, and ain't thing.
You should message me if
...if you're actually in my listed age range. I might make a year or two exception if you're particularly awesome, but the range is pretty definite. I'm not even going to consider you if you're younger than me. Been there, done that, and they have been waaaaay too immature (sad part is, this was only about 6 months younger than me or less). I tend to think it's a safer choice to go same age or older in hopes of actually finding someone who isn't obnoxiously stuck in a high-school, "look at me look at me" phase.

you're interested in getting to know me. BUT, if you're ultimately just trying to get laid...then you might as well give up now. I don't do the whole flippant sex thing.

And....if you're not overly offended by the fact that it'll probably take me a couple weeks or even months to answer your message. I just don't have the time to get on here and answer a million messages all at once. :/ Sorry!

If you aren't that guy who creepily posts sex as one of the top things they can't live without. That's fine, but most girls (in my experience) find it unattractive for a guy to admit that he's a veritable horndog right from the get-go. If you like sex, good for you, but don't post it as one of your favorite things like you're a nympho. Also, did I mention that it's annoying when guys do the whole flex in front of a mirror to show off their abs thing? Cocky much?
