I tend to be a somewhat laid back person, seriously I have been told I can be the most chilled out person people have met, not everyone thinks it is a good thing but it does keep my stress levels low.
I prefer Chicago style over New York style pizza but would not turn down a good slice of either. Sorry if this is a deal breaker.
I love hearing horribly "punny" jokes, you know the ones your five year old nephews tell, yeah I think they are awesome.
It is also worth mentioning that I have what has been described as "dry wit", this leads people to think that I am way more serious than I actually am.
I am new to this area, so I am still getting my bearing and trying to discover all that this new home has to offer me. So far enjoying the experience of exploring and learning about the city.
In my life I have two fears, one is a life wasted and the other is spiders (nothing in nature needs that many legs). And while I may have come to accept the seconds existence on earth, just not in my general vicinity, I also do everything possible to avoid the first. This means taking any opportunity to try something new and different, if I scares me a little then that is just a little more reason to give it a try.
The best times for are me all involve a good adventure, whether that adventure is trying something new, something ridiculous (ex. skydiving) or something just out of the ordinary (ex. travel). In fact, travel is one of my great motivators in life, it does not matter where I am going. If I am planning a trip, and I always am, I am excited.
I love the smell of old books, you know that wonderful aroma of well worn pages and old bindings, This may have led me to develop a mild book addiction over the years. The major side effect of this is my book library easily dwarf my dvd library by a twenty to one ratio.
I am not sure if that is a good enough glance into me, but if you want to know more feel free to ask, I try to be an open book so feel free to ask.
Candide, American Gods, World War Z, Breakfast of Champions, Neverwhere, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Adams and Neil Gaiman probably top my list of authors. Also a fan of C. Bukowski's poetry but have yet to take on one of his books. Been on a kind of documentary/expose kick lately with Fast Food Nation, Omnivores Dilema, Reefer Madness, etc...
Sneaker Pimps, Talking Heads, Rise Against, Fatboy Slim, Garbage, The Beatles, Social Distortion, Enter the Haggis, Johnny Cash, Chuck Berrry, Tool, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Been really digging on Dead Sara, the Black Keys and strangely enough Harvey Danger lately. Yeah I know, surprised me too.
Donnie Darko, Fight Club,The Professional, Click, Super Troopers,Across the Universe,Love Actually(don't judge me :P ) really most comedies and action movies.
I do not watch any of these regularly but I still enjoy them immensely when I do watch them: The Daily Show, Big Bang Theory, Good Eats (Science+Cooking=Awesome), Futurama, South Park(cartoons are a guilty pleasure), Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Dead Like Me (bonus points if you have seen this even though it is no longer on the air). And thanks to Netflix I am now enjoying the wonder of Firefly, which is causing me to rethink my opinion of Joss Whedon.
6. A purpose
My next project, what I want to be when I grow up, taking over the world. You know the normal stuff.
You have ideas of your own but are open to others as well.
You have a sense of humor.
You are open to the idea of a serious relationship but are not looking to rush into anything.
Really if you are interested and think we might get along. I am actually serious about making a few new friends, being new to the area it is not always easy.
Also if you have a horrible punny joke to share with me.
