My self-summary
I am compassionate, shy, and creative.
Currently back in Texas after living in NYC, various parts of new england, and most recently Portland, OR. I was working as a pastry chef most of that time and am now in grad school at UNT for Tech writing. I just moved to Austin in May to do a paid internship in Technical Writing. I want to be a copywriter and/or work at a nonprofit. I prefer deep conversations over small talk, moving forward rather than looking backward, simple pleasures rather than excessive ones, travel over being rooted, new experiences and ideas over familiar ones.
What I’m doing with my life
I bake.
I read.
I’m really good at
Being totally satisfied doing things people normally do in groups alone, cheering people up, finding good records to listen to and movies to watch.
The first things people usually notice about me

Food: important
Six things I could never do without
good books, good friends, a kitchen to cook in, lots of sleep, music, and yarn.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What makes a piece of writing art, recipe ideas, ethical non-monogamy, typography, commas, literature, knitting patterns, people and how they relate to each other, etc.

And this:
The wren is a tiny bird. It eats only a few grains; it makes its nest on a single branch; it can only fly a few feet; it takes up little space and does no harm. Its feathers are drab; it is useless to humankind, but it too receives the force of life. Ducks and geese can fly up to the clouds, yet they are shot down with arrows, for their flesh is plump. Kingfishers and peacocks must die because their feathers are beautiful. The falcon is fierce, but is kept on a tether; the parrot is intelligent, but is locked in a cage, where it is forced to repeat its master's words. Only the little wren, worthless and unlovely, is free.
On a typical Friday night I am
It's always different, but going to a show, cooking dinner or having drinks with friends, or just reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You should message me if
You have depth...or height

You want to give me a drum lesson or bake things

I am mostly looking for friends
The two of us
