My self-summary
"The problem with quotes on the internet is that it is quite difficult to ascertain their credibility."
-Mark Twain

Like the (misquoted) man above, my greatest passion is creating memorable experiences with interesting people who like to explore. I’m in a good place in my life, and I’m looking to share.
What I’m doing with my life
My career has revolved around making innovative medical technology safer and easier to use. I started out at NASA, and for the past few years, I’ve been working for a company that makes surgical robots. It’s been challenging and fascinating, and I’m very lucky to be there. That said, I’ve also really gotten into creating the financial freedom that allows me to maximize my free time.

I like to spend a lot of time around the Bay on two wheels, whether on my road bike or my motorcycle. My local joyride is Crystal Springs Reservoir. When it’s cold, I’m a snowboarder. This past winter in Tahoe felt like a dream. When it’s warm, I love the water. My most recent dive was near Poor Knights Island, and my favorite was Isla Mujeres. When it comes to travel, I typically do at least one trip domestically and one trip abroad per year. This year, I’m planning to drive up the coast to Oregon with some friends for a festival under the solar eclipse, and roam around Japan with a friend from Tokyo.
I’m really good at
-Finding new and interesting things to do
-Keeping hidden talents hidden

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: While I did enjoy Outliers and Me Talk Pretty One Day, I’m more of an article junkie. The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Independent, The Atlantic, and The New York Times are my favorite publications.

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Inglourious Basterds, and Black Dynamite.

Shows: Game of Thrones, Louie, and Breaking Bad. I’m getting into Stranger Things and Better Call Saul.

Music: Electronic (mostly downtempo and house), Rock, Hip Hop, Soul, and Jazz.

Food: Japanese, Latin American, Mediterranean, and Thai are my latest favorites.
Six things I could never do without
-Powerful stories
-Stunning landscapes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How The Onion might go out of business soon. Their material is getting too realistic.

The cascading effects of actions we take every day, and different ways to frame them.

How to invest in the future while living in the present.
On a typical Friday night I am
Keeping it mellow. Some recent examples include: dinner with friends at a neighborhood sushi spot, a night in before a weekend camping trip, and a friend’s album release party at The Hotel Utah Saloon.

Bigger days and nights out are usually reserved for Saturdays and Sundays.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My mom’s life was extended by a neurosurgeon who was once an undocumented migrant worker.
You should message me if
You’re curious, you want to check out a cool event together, or want to share a laugh or a story. I’m a sucker for intelligence, humor, adventurousness, and charisma.
