My self-summary
Mmm. important qualities. Smart, witty, introverted to a stupid degree, kind of quiet, huge nerd, bit of a grease monkey. Honestly, what drives me is learning. When something catches my interest, I love finding out how it works, what it takes to make it work, and how I could use it in my life. I don't like being complacent. I want to be better at everything I do by some degree every day.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently wearing many many hats at a small-ish business providing support and medical aide to individuals with special needs, adult and child. It's pretty nice, but I've never gotten used to dealing with our clients.
I’m really good at
My core competency, is competency. And I rent from national. I hate being bad at anything, so when I find out I am, I work at getting better.

Except singing. Can't sing for a damn. Also haven't felt the need to learn to draw properly yet, either.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books... hmmm... I think Martin ruined me for other genres, really. Song of Ice and Fire made me think books where characters don't die after I love them are worthless. I read political books or humor books outside fiction, but for fiction, it's gotta be fantasy.

Movies... I'm a huge fan of animation, so I mostly stick to anime and cartoons with a budget. But for real movies, I like the moderate extremes. Somewhat brainy movies, sci-fi, comedies without Adam Sandler or SNL cast members, mindfuck movies, bad martial arts movies so I can make fun of 'em with my friends. The gamut really. I do love an afternoon of MST3K, and I love movies with unconventional themes. A few I like: Alien(s), The Incredibles, Paprika, Old Boy, 5th Element, Eternal Sunshine, Hard Candy, Kung Pow, and Space Mutiny (MST3k, obviously).

Music... music is exceptionally important to me out of all the typical "art" genres. I listen to a huge variety of music, but I'd say at least 70-80% is either metal or electronica of some variety. I listen to a lot of symphonic and speed metal, and lately I've been sucked into gabber and electroswing electronica. To me, music is a very emotionally driven art form, and I love metal because it focuses on some very energetic and powerful emotions. Stuff based on love and lust are always a little soft for my tastes, and lack energy. Harder emotions like anger and fright are much harder hitting, and I love music like that: fast, hard, and energetic. On the other side, I like electronica because it is literally unbounded. There's no sound or structure you can't find in electronic music, and the possibilities are so enticing to me. I started off in breakbeat with Crystal Method and Prodigy before moving into new genres.

Current favorites in Metal: Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Dragonforce, Children of Bodom, Imperial Circus Dead Decadence, Rib.y, among others.

Current Favorites in Electronica: Noizenco, M-project, Depath, Crystal Method, Lvl. 4, Deadmau5, RoughSketch, Skrillex (lol dubstep), among a huge list of others.
Six things I could never do without
Transport. (public transit is awful)
Uh...... food, I guess?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Just about everything. I tend to let my mind wander a lot, and it brings in some strange thoughts.

Lately, it's been mostly about where I'm gonna move when my lease is up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends. If the weather's nice, I'll usually go out for a ride and then meet some friends at the bar, or something. If it's been ugly, I sometimes some games at home with friends, or a movie.

Lately, since I'm a huge nerd, I've been playing a lot of Magic at a local card shop. Drop me a line if you wanna talk shop about Standard format. :P
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a shower nerd. If you don't know what that's about, I'm not surprised. The only reason I like getting up is because I get to hop in the shower shortly thereafter.
You should message me if
You don't mind someone paradoxically quiet and noisy, and someone who can get into some challenging conversations/banter. Also, if you know how to properly handle an introvert.
