And I'm looking for a man who is kind of like me. But with the male pieces.
What I’m doing with my life
I enjoy playing with color and texture and design in various media – complex crochet patterns, gorgeous sentences, intricate knitting stitches, dolls of clay and cloth and twigs, spreadsheets and Access tables, waltz and rumba dips and turns – and lately drawing/sketching.

I am active physically and am competitive by nature. I’ve been jumping into fitness enthusiastically with a trainer these past several months. I run 5Ks now and again, and have done yoga for many years. Although I was once a cheerleader and played basketball in my youth, I have just about zero interest in going to sporting events. I do check the stats on the Red Sox in season, having spent my childhood in the Boston area.

I love learning. When I studied Sociology back in the 70s it was for the love of a discipline that promised to understand people in community from all aspects – had nothing to do with how I might make a living with that degree. Never did happen. I wandered from job to job for a while before finding a home at Arthur Andersen, where the partners believed in me, and threw me into one challenge after another, inspiring my love for complex financial puzzles and the joy of digging for answers. Post-Enron, I turned to entrepreneurial adventures, one of which brought me to Nepal, where I partnered with a Social Worker in a complex jewelry import business that supported the education of low caste girls in that country among other things. And a method of doll-making that led to years of work in the local children’s hospital helping to empower those kids with art. Post-divorce, I returned to financial analysis to pay the mortgage, but couldn’t help following a new passion by earning a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology while also training to become a Therapeutic Breathwork Practitioner. So I dabble with counseling and breath therapy on the side. And now I’ve decided to refresh my French language skills, having always wanted to travel to France.

Traveling? I’ve done so little over the years, and just here in 2016 I broke through some old idea that I needed a partner in order to enjoy a vacation. I enjoyed a marvelous solo vacation week in Cancun recently at a luxurious resort, and am formulating plans to go to France next year. I do think that trip would be enhanced with a (romantic) partner, but if it doesn’t happen, well okay, I’m going anyway.

That’s it. I’d like to be in love. I think I’d be good at it. But if it doesn’t happen this lifetime, I still appreciate my life HUGELY, and know how to have fun and feel good in my own skin! I do believe it would be transforming and fantastic to connect with a man on all levels, and believe in the possibilities. And miracles!
I’m really good at
looking through rose-colored glasses.
The first things people usually notice about me
The glow... a smile... that you matter

The six things I could never do without
There is nothing I could never do without, having learned that upon having once lost the only thing I loved at all. Now there's a story. But I know what you're really asking: I love my music, roses, things that sparkle, sensuality, someone to chatter to (with!), laughing and playing, meditation. Maybe you.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
falling in love. Not just with you, but with my friends and family and the dew on those asparagus ferns as the sun is rising.
On a typical Friday night I am
wondering if I'll ever have a typical Friday night, and hoping the answer is never, being fond of surprises.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love falling in love. Even the heartbreaking parts of it. Because I have a dream--that someday the love will keep growing instead of stopping. Actually, it doesn't stop at all, if I'm paying attention. It all leads to you and me. And I believe in that. Just like a teenager. With that innocence. With that divinity.
You should message me if
you are aligned with Ferg's Law: "When everything can go right, it will, and at the best possible moment." And if you are thoughtful, and strong in spirit, you love to laugh, you like movies, walks, talking about what it's all about. You are confident and competent, and also know that life is supposed to be fun.

P.S. I wear heels...would like to look up at you...

P.P.S. You probably won't hear back from me if you have posted more pictures of your car/motorcycle than of you. I mean, really.

P.P.P.S. If you are more than 10 years younger than me, please move on. Please. Same goes for you guys who live across the country or the world.
