My self-summary
Hi, I'm Kat. I just moved back to NH after 3 years in San Francisco. It's so pretty here😃. Tahoe, Washington, Peru, Guatemala, South Carolina are some of the other stops I have made. I spent this past June driving across country, and may have fallen in love with Louisiana and Texas BBQ.

I tend toward quieter venues, with opportunities to talk. A quality over quantity kind of thing, though I can definitely hit the dance floor and karaoke stage like a champ!

I love nature!! Although SF is beautiful, there simply wasn't enough space or swimming holes. I want to swim all the time. I'd love to find a backpacking/hiking/camping/swimming partner.

I tend toward a minimalist lifestyle but don't often deny myself things I love. My traveling philosophy is similar. I stay at hostels but tend to spring for the private room and good food/drink.
What I’m doing with my life
I am working for a science organization, teaching about wild animals. Experiential/environmental/outdoor education is my passion. I believe the natural world and our role (or current lack of) in it is extremely important. I also work at a restaurant part time because I need to eat. My dream would be to have an outdoor education job for the spring and fall, exploit the summer tourists, and go awesome places, like Louisiana and Madagascar for the winter months😃
I’m really good at
Staying calm. Speaking the truth. Confronting challenges. Teaching children. Keeping succulents alive. Disc golf (accuracy not distance). Snacks! Liking bacon. Making homemade lotions. Simpsons trivia(I could use some help with this one)!
The first things people usually notice about me
Hair and clothes, yo!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have a rather obsessive relationship with the Simpsons and Radiolab. I have listened to Elvis Costello so much, I'm not sure I can do it anymore, and would greatly appreciate any music recommendations. So many books and movies.... Food is so good! All of it. Though I definitely pay attention to sourcing.
The six things I could never do without
Peace of mind
Fresh air
Bodies of water for looking at and getting into
Mountains
And the other obvious ones...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All the homeless animals and how much room is at the foot of my bed. Where to explore next. What my profile would have looked like if my pictures of Machu Picchu hadn't been stolen. Hall and Oates.
On a typical Friday night I am
This definitely varies. Any ideas?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My mom randomly makes me stuffed robots of varying sizes and colors. I have a cool mom.
You should message me if
Anything here interests you…. Disc golf, anyone?
