My self-summary
I'm a high-flying super hero by night and an international ambassador bridging cultures by day. "I'm a hot-wired heat-seeking warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and biodegradable."

I am playful, relaxed and adventurous. I love traveling and exploring, whether that be a new country, or a new field of study. I enjoy living a mix of going really fast, all-out fun and wild, and then putting it all on hold for a whole day to just chill. I like people who are smart, a little quirky, and like to talk about things bigger than just themselves.
What I’m doing with my life
I've just returned to Boulder, CO after living 3 years abroad in very rural southern Japan. While working there teaching English to a range of students from kindergarten all the way through junior high, I also traveled all over Asia adventuring, sometimes with friends, but more often solo.

Now that I'm back, I'm working as a sushi chef at a local restaurant and looking to make some new friends as I settle back into life here.
I’m really good at
Losing at scrabble, procrastinating, battling with foam swords, listening, most sports, teaching/sharing what I know, using my imagination, snowboarding, finding myself funny when no one else does.
The first things people usually notice about me
Some people say I smile a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like books.

I like movies; there's too many to list. I'm a sucker for ones that make me laugh, martial arts, and those that flip my lid.

Don't really watch TV, but can't get enough of the West Wing or NHL games.

My music tastes are all over the place. Bouncing Souls, Mt Eden, Unwritten Law, Kings of Leon, Booka Shade, Newton Faulkner, Hans Zimmer, Millencolin, to name a few recently played.

Ah food... I love new flavors, but permanent favorites are peanut butter, cookies and cream ice cream, pesto, and spicy southwestern, but not all mixed together.
The six things I could never do without
Challenges, music, good food, the internet, chill time, hard exercise/sports.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Going more green. As well as how I'm going to take my newest Japanese vocab word and work it into a conversation with my coworkers.
On a typical Friday night I am
Looking for more adventure most likely. Unless I've already got plenty, which is often the case.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't tend to keep many secrets. But there was definitely a phase of my childhood where I was raised on live-action musicals and I will still occasionally go back and re-watch them.
You should message me if
If (in so few words and pictures) I seem interesting to you.
If you're open-minded
If you like adventure
